jmanjr82 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Depends on what you had for funds....sundown 3500, RD 3250, diablo 1000.1 (pair), stetsom 2k6, sound digital 5k...I think all would be solid choices again depends on the cost....if you want to go really cheap grab another pa5500 and strap them insure your voltage is good those amps will run 0.5 problem free as they will see more resistance with box rise etc.

I ran my subs @ 1ohm and I really don't feel like crackin open my box.... I would like to see a true 2200-2500 watts rms but as far as my budget is concerned, I already have the BAMF sold if nessesary, which leaves my budget at around $600-$800ish right now...

I'd love to see some of those pictures, I tried that back in the day with 2x2's and silicone up the wazzu but it wasn't very eye pleasing. It really likes lows though, like Lil Wyte, lil jon, e40,etc... it even gets down pretty good to some Alan Jackson and Korn. When I was metered the box was 144ish and up from around 30hz-42hz....but that is where i have the strongest passband (going by WinISD). However, I feel like my amp is REALLY holding my back with this thing, for the money it's been awesome, but I think its time to upgrade..... any suggestions?? Thanks for the response, thats good to know.....Its alot in your budget that would push those subs very well. Sundown 3500d, RD 3250, even a used Sundown 3000d would be an excellent choice on those REs. Nice to know its treating you well.

dustin_shull Posted July 26, 2009 Author Report Posted July 26, 2009 the box is right at 4cu ft at the ported side @ 48hz, sealed is 3.8 cu ft. I used a accordion boot to seal up the bed and cab, and so far no leaks. My Extang RT tonno does a great job of sealing the bed up too. I got 2 videos of the system, both without the truck running and the camera doesn't pick up everything- its just a regular digital camera... Video 1 video 2 o BTW, got my new 220+ alternator in and its awesome! BUT, i still need some batteries to keep up with the demand....
