That's the same as my dad's '89.

When my brother was driving it, he squeezed 3 12"s behind the seat.

The seat had to be allll the way up, and it was still a tight fit, with the amp under the seat.

It was loud as hell though. 3 12"s in a regular cad truck...

They were prefab boxes, 3 separate sealed ones.

blow through or a custom center console with seats.

granted we really didn't have great woofers back in the day when i was doing those, but JL Audio, pioneer, and kenwood have some shallow mount subs.

I would never go with shallow mounts IMO. Instead of a 12" shallow, I'd rather go with a 10". And instead of a 10" shallow, I'd rather go with 8" subs.

I would go with what fits and works, JL is a 13 also and not a bad sounding woofer at all. then figure a budget.
