Applejack
So is this purely for cosmetic appeal or does it offer something more? What would be the benefit of using this, say over, Fleckstone spray paints? Thanks. DrpChvy
Looks like a good product, might have to give it a try on my next box.
Marlo Stanfield
I like the look of it a lot... I've finished all of my own personal boxes in the past 2 years with either line-x, spray on bed liner(my buddy works for a place that does it), or fleckstone. So once this is all ready to start selling, I'm gonna pick some up to try it out. Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... Anthony Collova
I like it, will it come in colors too?edit: and what kind of texture is it? Is it grippy or smooth? It is only going to be available in black, which will be a good deal darker than what you see inthe pics. The coating prototype is grey. Black will look better. No other colors will be available. It is kind of smoother, but has a small amount of grip to it. Not a ton though. It is loaded with crumb rubber bit to give the texture. The thicker you apply the coating, the more the rubber gets covered. A very thing coat would more like paint with snad mixed in to it. Thicker coats tend to exceed the thickness of the rubber bits and make a softer texture. that looks great!! is there an eta on when this will be available? It is available now but it is not currently listed on our site. We are adding a shopping cart to diyma.com so this might end up as a diyma product rather than a Second Skin one. Not sure where it would fit in with the sound deadening and insualtion products we offer. DIYMA might be a better fit. So is this purely for cosmetic appeal or does it offer something more? What would be the benefit of using this, say over, Fleckstone spray paints? Thanks. Designed for cosmetics and durability, but since it an acrylic blend, it will reduce vibrations to some extent. NOt nearly as good as our Spectrum or Sludge noise coatings but it will help. hmmmm whats the pricepoint. Somewhere in the $50-60 range as of now. 1 gallon will cover about 50-60 sq feet. okay also curious about theseTexture? Any other colors? Price? Any other benefit besides cosmetic appearance?
