Torres Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 this might not be the right thing to say exactly lol...but does the man/lady next to me put out his cigarette at a stop light? or roll up his windows? if they dont...i can smell it and i dont smoke so i hate smelling it. so why turn down my music? it's not physically harming. with that said...yes i turn down my music at red lights . common courtesy. just wanted to throw an argument out there

Now neighborhoods ill turn it down I don't like people bumpin past my house late nites but during the day I just turn it down going thru. I dont bump at night, 8 pm is my limit for how late it is, i have respect for the elderly and younger children who go to sleep early. I live in the ghetto so most of the assholes bump any and every time of the day, so i dont care about bumping through MY neighborhood, but i turn it down going through nicer ones. Ive actually had to go out on a Wednesday at 3 am and blast my shit next to some asshole because he thought it would be cute to sit with his doors open and blast his shit, i played air forces all the way through, then told him i can get a bunch of country music and blast that shit all fuckin night if he didnt turn his shit down, i was tryin to sleep. - I know what i did in that situation was wrong but the cops around here dont do shit about it especially at night. So i had to shut him down. Bump respectfully, like some one said before, its a privilege thats true. Number one depending on the music im playing, which ranges from Johnny Cash to Tech N9ne to Texas In July, I'll turn it down. Its not hard to tell when someone doesn't appreciate the type of music your listening to, and what the hell. Your at stop lights for a matter for what, a minute? Plus, I know some people around me (Older people usually) don't like to listen to their music loudly anyways, so while im sitting there throwing down some Lil' John, grandpa cant hear Dean Martin singing Thats Amore. So I just don't do it. If your at a stop light by yourself or someone who you can clearly tell would probably enjoy the music (Such as someone else bumpin) then I'll leave it up, but even then, those situations don't occur a lot due to other people. As far as neighboor bumpin and things like such, I think you would be a FOOL to go through your neighborhood or one close to yours bumpin. One of my closest friends has a DC LVL 4 15" in his 95 K1500, and he always would let his shit just pound at every red light and through every neighborhood we went. To me, it kinda seems like an advertisement to crooks and the little fucks who run around breaking into cars in the middle of the night. Its kinda like "Hey, I live just around the block from ya! Second house on the left. Please, come make me pay for a new window and system". IN ALL, bump respectfully. I have no subs and I have more common sense then quite a few of the guys with them in this thread just from experiences with friends and seeing other assholes pissing me off at lights etc. Its not that difficult to actually nut up and be respectful when you know other people are upset. Of course like everyone else if some kid is blasting I will let him have his fun and slowly turn up the beat until he realizes it's not his car he hears anymore (the BEST when his girl is in the car!) But even having it turned WAY down is when I get the most complaints. Not sure about eveyone else but it seems that even if I can barely hear it people start complaining and that is when the ASS comes out....HUH? (turn it up more) HUH, I'm having trouble hearing you.....(up more) HUH, please speak clearly I can't hear you!!!!!! This of course is reserved for that special breed of ass who complains when my car is quieter than the damn trash truck next to him. The best ever that I have heard of though was when my wife was driving. She had it turned up about half way, loud but no thunder or anything, and some lady started screaming BITCH as she was pulling up. So my wife had the windows cracked and she rolled them down to hear what she has to say (she's confontational like that!) and the lady was cursing and yelling so my wife just started throwing out sign language......that lady was like Oh MY GOD I'M SO SORRY, sunk down in her chair and sped off :hairtrick: Priceless!
