I remember reading in another thread that you said 185 (I think, can't remember the exact number) is the highest we'll be able to hear. So when I seen 181 I thought no way. What's going to happen once someone hits the max? It's not going to be fun anymore. lol

In another thread I was saying that 194 dB is the loudest possible "sound"

And it is my belief that 185 dB is the limit that today's equipment will allow us to reproduce.

So to surpass that number we will have to advance woofer technology again. Or change the rules of competition to the point where you wouldnt have to use a vehicle anymore.

Lol that would get very, very interesting. But i think that it would be completly and utterly pointless and it would completly ruin the sport. Though an advancement in subwoofer technology would be intrguing.

Just a question but how many people read this thread thinking someone here hit 181.2 in their car?

Danny Hays might be on this forum.

it wont be cars. it will be semi trailers and 5th wheels. think of 500 hp diesels turning 12+ alternators. when me and my dad were soda blasting at a factory here in kenosha, wisconsin. the company produced machines that did something for processing animal poop or something. i was looking at this one semi trailer and there were 10 runs i could see of 250 kcmil for the equipment. the electric motors were 3 phase and were massive. compared to motors ive seen before.

And far as the best connection ever.......

get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.
