the W7 is known for SQ, but im sure the FI Q wouldnt have a problem keeping up, considering it is in its proper enclosure. plus you could get a Q 15", as opposed to the largest JL has to offer (13.5")

Also for the fact of price comparison alone I would pick the fi q. I haven't heard the fi q in person but I had a w7 although it wasn't on the right amp I was not happy with it at all in an enclosure ported to jl's specs. It was only a 10 but I figured on around 900 rms it would be at least decent.

I've heard if you run jl you have to run all jl components to make it sound right which makes sense considering the w7's run at 3 ohms and the jl amps are the only amps that run the same power on 1 2 and 3 ohm's that I know of.

My experience with jl was extremely overpriced crap but that could be because I wasn't running all jl equipment.

That makes absolutely no sense....

To be quite honest.... I think my 15" BLs far from SQ subs sound as good if not better than the 10w7 I have in a HO Wedge.... The 15" BLs did better on the upper end, double bass, and murdered on the lows.

All in the enclosure and I would take a Fi Q over a w7 anyday.

there is no doubt about the quality of jl's subs but they are way over priced when there are alot of subs out there sound as good or better and won't cost you an arm and a leg
