Forevrbumpn Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 its not the turbulance at all man, the vibrations is what will kill the amps.... thats why I said that comment about Nasa, they epoxy thier PC Boards 100% so solder, and other components dont rattle lose during lift off, and descent, ect ect... If those amps are in the port, cool, it will keep them cool, but if your hittin about a 155db at the window, inside that port (remember port wars) probably up to like 165-170db, I dont know of any electronics that are not solid state that can withstand that Plexi might help a little bit tho I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
kingsuv Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 The back plate is almost finished. Here it is mocked up on the truck Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

I don't see it as too much more then what they go through mounted to the box or when they were mounted under the box. with all the day to day bumps going down the road. I can only wish for that 155 on the dash My best portwars score in the truck has only been a 159. I think it will be more or a port issue then anything else. When I'm back up and going full speed I will finish off some of the things I couldn't get to on this box for sure. Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
