No one belives what Ive hit on the meter!

Hers why no one believes you. Meca state record in TN for AS1 and AS2 (the class you would be in) are 143.3 and 146 resepctively. S2 is 147.7. So not only are you louder than anyone by 3 DBs you would be the meca state record holder by a long shot and also be close to the loudest score in your state period.

Here are reasons why no one believes you

You have two entry level 12s and 500 watts.

You dont mention what kind of box you have or what your specs are.

you dont mention the meter type

You mention the meter was on the rear view. Which is actually a harder location to meter at due to the fact you can't load off of anything. you dont have the pocket at the corner of the windshield or the kick.

If you were so knowledgeable like you claim you would have posted that information. So go get metered get it on video and then bring it on back. and just an FYI If its not on the termlab its not accurate. It doesnt need calibration like other mics do.

Lol that still is not a legal meter then, legal score is the car sealed with the meter on the front windhsield 6" up and 6" over that being on the rearview = not a legal score

uhh, I'd have to ask Dashboard. Thats who I do all my car audio with.

I wanna say it is because like I said that guy "Paul" who is runnin with Sundown Audio with the 12 12's said thatthe mic was true.

Because I had a friend call me a liar when I told him. His shop in Bristo, TN said that there was no way and for me to go get metered by them. Once I told Paul about everyone sayin that he told me not to worry about it cause he was in the car with me the second round I went through.

First round I hit 148. something and only had the volume of 30 with the same note being hit. Then second round through Paul jumped in my passenger side seat, looped the mic over my rear view mirror, swung my door open then close when it hit and everyone around my car was like what the fuck?!

but I mean my car audio guy was running the meter, the people I was competing against didnt think I could hit any harder till paul turned my deck up to 60 and swung the door open and everyone read it plain as day....150.8

Oh and I did have my back seat down, both back windows up and my driver side window cracked about halfway

but umm, My box is nothing special. It is just a carpeted box I got from my car audio guys.

Quite honestly I dont know what kind of meter it was at all. and its funny that you say they dnt need calibration cause thats what dashboard told me too

the friend that called me bluff said his store gets their meter calibrated every month and shit so I told him to fuck off he sounds dumb and my shop also said that you dnt need to calibrate them, but like I said that guy Paul was hittin about the same numbers he usually hits at big competitions. I am almost 100% sure that he goes to the db drag cause he tavels from and to everywhere for any competitions..

For all I know you're right and its not a good mic but we tried it at the windsheild pocket and kick pannel and it hit alot harder at the dash.

Ill have to find out today what kind of meter it was. but either way im not lieing about what I hit.

That's probably why you hit 150dB.

Could anyone(like chode) hang the termlab at the rearview mirror and close the door hard and tell what number they see?

EDIT: the JL W0 (probably) doesn't has enough motor force to break a 150.
