When I was going through my apprentice period, I had a 2 week run of 12 hours at my day job then another 8 at the tattoo shop with no days off. I think I almost died. I was drinking nothing but NOS and coffee, completely tweaked on caffine. My boss had gone on vacation at the day job so I had to work from 6 til 6. Got to the tattoo shop and and work til 2 AM. Drive home pass out and do it again.

For the record I don't recomend it. I was sick as hell for 3 or 4 days after lol

Damn yall act like 30-40 hrs are bad last summer i had two jobs and i was clockign in like about 90-75 hours every week FUCKING SUCKED but damn was teh pay pretty damn good

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

I should have added how many hours have you worked straight without a break also... just a little side story..

The most straight time I've had to work (back when I was a laborer) was 36 hours. We were working a "16 hour job" that went horribly wrong. We had no help from other stations and we were stuck outside in the freezing rain for that long with no breaks. When the bosses left, we would each take an hour nap against the building. I'm a pretty fucking strong guy and we had some other big dogs with us, but we were so exhausted that taking turns hitting bolts with a sledgehammer got down to one slow swing before passing it off.. I actually fell asleep standing up with my mouth hanging open doing fire watch and the guys said I was bobbing for cock.

I know some of you posting here work really hard and maybe share my eyeroll when people cry about their office jobs. lol

mmm.. 7 in a row at 12 a day.. what's that add up to?

Yes yes, 84. I knew somebody would jump on that. That's my shift schedule without the unscheduled overtime. I'm not bullshitting though, I'll post up the pay stub lol.

i know how you feel, i work for a beer distributer. i work as a member of the venue and special events team, so that means i work my regular eight during the day and than have to go back in the evening to cover sporting events and concerts or what ever may be going on. 70 to 85 hours a week is a norm for me but when a big show or sporting event comes through the hours can get real long 15 to18 hours a day St. Patrick's day, super bowl etcetera.it use to be fun but after doing it for so long sometimes i contemplate a career change, kegs get heavy...
