sub2weeker Posted July 20, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2010 a lot of people who dont know what theyre doing so when they finally hear something nice, they realize how little they know, so young wippersnappers dont mean much to me. the point of that statement was im confused as the intention of this post. is it because of the classes? the rules? the fact you dont like burp vehicles? or you just like little kids on your lawn? i do hear and understand the rant about the rules, but in between the rants (not only you) theres complaining about the younger generation so it was kind of hard to take the point sewriously because i didnt know if it was just, i hate young kids these days. i got started into audio because i love music, singing, making, performing, and have grown up in a musical family. both of my parents are performers and so i got into sound quality really early and just started moving on with the generation. im more of a do it yourselfer and after paying to have my first system installed i decided to disassemble my system and read and taught myself almost everything i know. started reading more and actually learning how speakers, waves, and power works. then got into building my own cars and have gone through NUMEROUS systems. being in alaska were not as lucky to have access to a lot of the competitions that happen, but i have made sure when there is one going on where family and friends are located i make my way down. i experiment, do a lot of research, and build my cars to what i love and like. my cars are my own, extensions of me, and the systems are just that. i normally dont burp my vehicles but they can burp. are you mad that burp specific vehciles cant play music? are your builds able to burp without blowing them selves apart? i mean, its like a minivan and a sports car, two completely seperate builds built for two completely seperate purposes. back to the topic, the rules do kind of get to me, but i think theres better ways of changing it than ragging on younger kids who are not as smart as you, oh great one. i think your too use to your elders talkin shit to you... i would like for you to point out where we are talking about the younger generations in the way you have taken it.. all i said was systems are about being just that! and the test tones have changed this sport. i dont believe a sound system should be built for a one note wonder... and the sad thing is all these rules that have come along are due to the test tones in competition (well burp vehicles to be specific using test tones)so my intent is to ressurect the sport of Car Audio and make some rules that accomidate a sound system with classes like (TSPL TRUE SPL & (BASSCONTROL) and (DISTURBING THE PEACE), and then a seperate section for the (PSPL = PURE SPL)vehicles and port wars style competition. this is spam imo, its not allowed here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I heard someone say to NEVER use the word fail, instead replace that word with R&D. Big companies don't call their trials and errors failures, which is exactly what they are. a bunch of trials at something, failing, and learning from those mistakes to better their product. Fail(ure) is just a negative word that brings yourself down. Using R&D instead will always keep things positive.... just something I learned a few weeks ago and I've been using and it seems to help mentally 2001 Tahoe. I feel like if i am not at what i want or at least learn, i wasted my time. Day after day i get better at things and expect more and more. to go backwards is failure in my opinion. I won't do a burp vehicle any time soon but some day I will. After I average 160 on music I may get a second(or third) car and give it a try lol. I don't like basketball but it doesn't mean i'm going to create my own sport. Was your CRX the one with 8 strokers in it waaay back in the day? no not 8 strokers, 8 kickers and i am not creating a new sport because of the burp vehicles. i am simply accomidating them and seperating them from the actual stereo systems which most are interested in. a lot of people wont go to shows because they loose to a burp vehicle, and realize that they lost by 10- 20 db because of a vehicle designed to play only 1 note. thats a huge turn off, and you loose the crowd all together because those guys have no interest in a 3 second burp.... that is NOT interesting. a new league will allways pop up.... there was allways boxing, and then kickboxing, but back in the day it was Mortal Combat( not the game which was bad ass) but fight to the death.... and now there is MMA and UFC.... with minimum rules to prevent death! everything has evolved but some things were created perfectly and throughout time they have been manipulated by people so they could beat the next! that is all the burp vehicles have done. they dont play for 30 sec on music, they are only designed for one frequency, there are no mids or sound other than a 60hz test tone! thats why there should be a (PSPL) PURE SPL classdesigned for those that want to do test tones to beat a musical system. now the musical system is what i am trying to bring back and to the point they want to come and compete and enjoy their systems. kinda like bikers. this is spam imo, its not allowed here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guy in the sprongs had 8 18 Strokers in a crx. I had an Escort with 6 15 RF Power DVCs with 3 800.2s, then switch out to the bd1000s when they came out. LoL.. Old school!
