tejcurrent Posted March 29, 2008 Author Report Posted March 29, 2008 Okay, heres a few pics just painted. I'm going to let it sit today and wetsand tomarrow morning. I got some 1k and 2k grit, so hopefully this will look really good when I'm done. Problems: It's outdoors, under a car port. A nat flew right into the paint before it dried, and there's a little bit of trash- but I'm pretty sure it'll sand out smooth. You can see from the pic theres a little bit of orange peeling, I don't know if it's something I did wrong or what- this is my first try at painting with a sprayer, so I'll see how it turns out. My wife says she thinks it'll look better white with no design, so I'm going to try it first then go from there. tejcurrent XS Power T3

jonn_jonn Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 how are the yellow tops doing for you? are they good power and do you have a stock alt.? im thinking about getting a few yellow tops
Slinky Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 looks like you got thing sanded really smooth. looks nice. hopefully itll be strong enough though DD M4 Rockford Fosgate P500-4 SoundQubed HDC415 w carbon fiber cap 2 Rockford Fosagate T1675-S XS Power D3400 Under Hood XS Power D5100 in rear Michael Singer 200A Alt Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/153901-2012-veloster-update-842013-wall-build-4-15s/
tejcurrent Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 Thanks guys- positive feedback like that keeps me feel like actually working I have my stock alt for now, but I'll have 4 as soon as I can sell my boat and get some extra money. The yellowtops work good, but I have 5 of them so they have strength in number lol. I think there would be better batteries out there, though they would surely cost more. I can leave my car playing music for hours and hours at a time. I'm going to call this finished for a while. It really needs buffed good- I didn't have any pads for my buffer so I just went over it by hand a little. There's a few blemishes, but it's my first attempt at spraying and they were really just from trash that got in the paint On to pics, but do you guys think black accents would look good around the equipment? I already have paint, I'd just hate to have to sand it all down just to undo it. Just thrown in back- still plenty more panels and amps to go there, so it' looks kind of awkward. Crap camera, but from inside the panel adds a nice touch imo. Like I said, the amps will be on top of part of it, and there will be a few beauty panels vinyled to match the box and flush it in there. Like I said, opinions and criticism are much appreciated! tejcurrent XS Power T3
