not necessarily you bro but it happens all the time. Its like this, my 5yr old numbers are still pretty good and my box is the same from 2004. What can i say, I like how it sounds :pardon: . Its almost impossible to stay competitive if you dont tear-down and rebuild every week for another .3db. If you actually clean it up, make it look nice, upholster to match etc,you may as well hang it up and just do demo's.

now if i get me a shit-car, and start filling it with concrete and take it so far to the b-pillar you cant lean the seat back.........then you might see me in the lanes more often.

ya i know. i keep planning on redoing my box but it looks so nice i dont want to lol. im waiting till i have the extra cash to throw at an spl car.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

Now I'm not doubting your numbers or trying to hate in any way, but I honestly feel your numbers should be higher. The only reason I say this, is because my dads 97 tahoe with 6 jl w6's, 12" on two power a800's hit a 151 back in 2002. Don't remember what comp it was, but he competed i n spl and took second with it. I tried finding his scores online but he was never an official member so they weren't recorded. Also would him having a sealed box vs ported make a difference? I'm still learning a crap load from this site and others so don't flame me please, just educate me.

steve, it would be legit to see you having a build going on again if you got a huge piece of shit and built it up for comp's , just to see a new build of yours! :-D

but i can understand on the time, its a hard thing to come by these days!!

The SPL meter they used in 2002 wasn't really accurate. ;)

So on the TL they have now it's probably 3-4 of maybe even more db's lower. ;)

Oh and Steve i would really like to see a SPL build of u.

I like the tahoe,Caddy, civic and other boxes u made for others and also the chicken towers, and u're new workshop towers.

I would really like to see a spl build :)

must not have looked very hard....i found it fast.

http://www.termpro.com/asp/competitorstats.asp?Competitor_ID=33565&Season=2010&Method=6

i am missing so many of my scores its ridiculous.....yet another chip at the old block' on why i stopped competing. Just because i didnt pay my membership fee for a year or two, a shit load of stats just vanished. Oh well, some still there.

as for Usac scores, i will go looking now for you but there are more then a handful of people here that have PERSONALLY seen me do the scores i show in my sig....and at REAL comps, not just my back yard.

Even with my up to date membership, some of my stats are missing. Especially the pre-2000 shows.

But I would like to find my USACI, IASCA, and SLAP show scores but cant find them anywhere.

Backyard scores are another story. If you have some impressive ones, post em up please.

try 9 db lower.

I've found them to be consistent 7dB difference. But it depends on frequency, and level. They were more off at 155s and up.

im gonna say he was tuned high as hell if he competed in "SPL". i believe steves box is tuned low and he can still hit good number. why the fuck has it been all numbers on the forum lately. if you dont hit high numbers your setup is shit. fuck you numbers i say make a daily gp and call it a day. if the shits loud to your ear and your making people bail out after 10 seconds i say your loud as shit. no numbers needed
