Sorry I was in a hurry last time. It was resin...sand. bondo...sand. painted it silver and cleared it and wet sanded just like a car. But like I said it has a mirror finish...looks sweet.

I think it was 3.8 that he gained. He set the US record for ss1-2 at slamology this past year.

If you reface the wall and gain .3-.4 then sand the inside and gain .3-.4...that would be a nice gain. If pleasing the meter is your thing then you should know it takes a lot of work or a lot of money to gain anything.

Yes you are right, gaining is not cheap but sometimes it´s easy, he has a big ass box, maybe he could try getting some bricks or something in it before the show, shrinking the box could raise his score without spending a cent :)

carpet hurts a lot.

pvc "roundover" helps.

ive seen sanding help and ive seen it do nothing. i think it all depends on how much work you put into it.

covering the floor in plastic helps.

waxing and buffing the box and dash helps.

you can get a hand full of syrofoam balls and put them in your box, burp it and see if a bunch of them collect in one place. if they do then you know you need something to get air moving out of that corner.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

what about doing something like the surface of a golf ball....grab a countersink bit and go to town

I know it helps with wind resistance on cars, better mpg

That does work, but i have only tested it on a port and it helped. :)

Thinking is the root of all problems...

We already put a fog machine in the box and found the problem areas, there is only a few right by the port. But I have a fix for that.

It is funny you say carpet hurts alot, cuz just recently I had the same thought, but on this guys truck I built, it is an extended cab pickup similar to an s10, it is a Nissan something. Anyway, built his box two square 12's both firing up and port on driver side firing up. Metered it, did a 148.3, then a week later, carpeted the box in trunk liner, metered again, same number. Oh and didn't change an single thing other then carpeting the box. Explain that....
