Anything else we should do to make it better for all involved. Evidently we don't run a good enough contest or something. I never said that. I'm just saying you can't enforce SOME forum and contest rules without enforcing ALL of them. If you want to run unlimited do it just change the rules so you can. Or if there is an exception of a certain rule for a certain month it should be posted in the first nomination post for that month. dont tell us how to run this. we normally have 15 nominees...when the prizes are bigger we get more noms. ill adjust the rule to make you happy....why is everyone complaining...your competing for bragging rights and get a nice prize as well...enjoy people...goodness I have an idea. Don't complain, be happy the partners are nice enough to give stuff away. The more people, The more interesting. If you don't win, There's next month. THANK YOU!!! Wow. If your system is worthy, it will win no matter how many enter. It's not like pulling a name out of a hat where your odds decrease proportionally as more people enter. Sure your odds will decrease slightly - more like at a car show where you're competing in your class. Getting your system in "winning" condition doesn't mean that you have to have a wheel barrel full of money. Rather, it means that you need to be sure you've maximized it on all fronts. Take cues from those that win SOTM . . . and those who don't. Some months, BIG SPL rules. Other months, clean installs rule. Yet others, single woofer systems rule. This is a reflection of the taste of SMD Members and what makes SOTM so cool. Once you're nominated, show us your hustle and update your build thread so that potential voters can quickly find pics of your finished work. Out of focus cell phone pics showcasing french fries on the floor and stuff lurking out from behind panels with mismatched carpet ain't gonna' get you a win. Take new ones if you have to - that's totally cool. The point is, the nomination gets you on stage - that's it. Win the favor of the members and you'll win SOTM - it's just that easy. Heres the basics. 1st-20th-Nominate (or when we reach 15 nominees) 21st-End of month-Vote for Winner. Ok, here's the rules.... 1.) Systems must be complete (or at least 95% complete) before nomination can take place. NO BARE BOXES 2.) BUILD LOG WITH PICTURES IS REQUIRED. Give some info on your setup ex: box style, amps, subs, electrical system upgrades. TL score is optional but preferred. 3.)Professional installers or shop owners are not eligible to enter when a prize is offered. 4.) You can only win once a year, but if you don't win, you can enter as many times as you like. 5.) The winner for each month will get their own section. 6.) If you do not want to run please let it be known if nominated. 7.) If you are nominated and you are a "bad sport" you will be pulled from the nominations and suspended for 5 days out of disrespect and poor sportsmanship. 8.) If we see multiple IP address that will be used to "sway" votes, the accounts will be deleted and you will be pulled from the running. We want members to promote SOTM...hit up other forums and promote say "hey we have this competition going on check it out" but having family/friends just sign up to vote for you and leave will no longer slide. 9.) Staff of SMD (mods/supermods/admins) are no longer eligible of running in SOTM. 10.) Have fun, nominate and vote up!!! WE WANT PARTICIPATION!!!
