And this system doesn't have to be ready till spring.. What alt u recommend? I want one reasonable price and that doesn't rob much hp. 2 batteries and sub gives you 200lbs, that's already 2 tenths in the quarter mile... Kinda getting the wrong gear to be worrying about HP and such...

korey_hofer Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 hmm why did you get a dual 1? are you going to add another later? a used kicker 2500 would do well. memphis has some 2ohm rated amps. limited experiance makes me feel you shouldn't run it at .5, easier to smoke the sub with the increase in current previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.

thorshammer Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I'd run with the DC 3.5kw. It'll do fine off 2 batts but would definately add an H.O. alt. Look at Mechman. Matt builds a great product and it wont bog your engine down.
