Anyway what i would do is run the 0 back and get your self another battery for the back.Then run the 4ga off the battery.That way you will be ready for what ever you do next.XS and Kinetic make great batteries. CaptainzPlanetz Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Just get some terminals from toolmaker that let you run 3 runs of 1/0 for each your power and ground, after it is 1000rms.....you need at least that /sarcasm But for your current set-up 4 gauge will be fine, unless within like a month or 2 you are gonna get the AQ, but even then you would be fine with 4 gauge as long as you had a battery in the back, and the run was only a foot or two long, I mean your not competing so getting that extra 1/20th of a db isnt really a concern ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ If you buy that reducer it wouldn't be part of an upgrade plan anyways so why bother? how conductive are those reducers? is it the same as having 0ga going into the amp... The amp only draws a load conducive with 4g so it doesn't matter. Remember the amp DRAWS current, it doesn't have it shoved down its neck. Autruche Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 There are a few ways to make it work. The simplest is to just trim some of the wire off the end of the cable to make it fit. There is nothing wrong with that. You can get those reducers, but for what you pay for them, they aren't worth it. A simple way (but not recommended) is to put a terminal on the end of the 0 gauge, and get a chunk of 4 gauge with a terminal on the end of it, and use a nut and bolt to connect the two terminals, and tape them up real good. Or you can put a nut and bolt on the terminal of the 0 gauge and put the bolt in the terminal.
