There are some places where 300K could buy a damn near mansion. People have to realize that typically the areas that have houses like this for less money also have less opportunity for high paying jobs. Of course someone who lives in a small town where the biggest thing going is the Super Walmart would think it's expensive, but if you live in an area that has alot of good paying jobs it seems normal to pay that much.
