flashlight_65
.50 can be flat out banned because of blah blah. 338lapua is a great big game long range hunting round. That was my thinking when I was on the verge of getting a big old sumbitch. .50 is hard to explain to gun grabbers so I just don't deal with it. 338 is also not too awfully hard to supress. I've never heard what I would call "hearing safe" but it sure doesn't make your nose bleed.lol Yep and the 338 can do most of what the 50 can. If I was to load for 50 too it requires almost everything special for it. I believe I can do the 338 on my 650. I have to look again. Touché Makes sense. Wouldn't want to fuck up all that meat. yurvalentine
I really have a hard choice to make. The 338 will be much more expensive but if they pass a big boomer ban it's worth itIf that's the concern, why not something bigger like .50bmg or .408? Aside from the +$2.00 per round of the .408 the .50 and .338 are pretty close in price per round and the spectrum of options for the .50 also. Not knocking the .338, just curious. I know a few dudes who are into the .375 cheytac for 2k yds stuff, really sweet cartridges.
boometro
any input on the springfield xdm 9mm vs the h&k vp9. looking to get one or the other this weekend
n8ball2013
Which xdm? The competition 5.25? The vp9 is small. Like glock 19 size but thinner. Shorter barrel. Better trigger. Less capacity. If I was picking one it's the xdm I didn't care for the mag release on the vp9 and makes are stupid expensive THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. If I was picking one it's the xdm I didn't care for the mag release on the vp9 and makes are stupid expensive Depends on the intended purpose, IMO. if it's a range toy, then either is fine and I would give the edge to the XDM (If it is the comp 5.25). Carry piece? The VP9 all day, every day and twice on Sunday. Especially if he's a lefty, as the ambi slide release and mag release paddle make things a lot easier. Hell, I liked it so much that I bought two. Personal bias aside, if you can get a chance to rent and shoot both, buy the one you shoot best. A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it.
