has anyone used the famous john nolte snail shell enclosure for some level 5's?? i am getting a set of 12's in the next week or so and am considering snail shell enclosure and just want some feedback if anyone has any

Yeah pretty much. It is pretty obvious that it was designed to match the theme of the VU Din and other SMD/D'Amore products. If it were smaller, all of the different voltages would not fit on the display. I think they designed this with different in mind, I mean whats the purpose in putting out another product that is just like something that is already being made? If you like the stinger readout, but dont like the quality, then go buy a dakota digital like I did and call it a day. Once these are available with 16v+ readouts, I will get one just because it is different than everything else that is available.

what is the point of producing a meter that is exactly the same as another that is already available and probably cheaper since im sure stinger can sell more products than Steve (no offense) The only way I can see a stinger like read out being on this is if there was a display say in the middle with the light jumping around it. But then you have to add on to the cost and still wouldn't be worth the hassle. wish I could get one that was 1 t x 2 w lol, have a dummy spot on my dash that would be perfect for this
