  1. Just remember your basic formulas: Ohms Law: V=IR Power = VI = I^2R Those formulas can be rearranged depending on what number you're given and what you need to find. Plug in the known numbers and solve for the unknown(s).

  2. I have them color-coded so anyone can identify them quickly. In the X, Z v.3/v.4, NS v.3 packs : Black = 4 layers Yellow = 5 layers Reddish = 6 layers

  4. Depends on the parts used ; so far these are holding up really well to an NS-1 @ 0.25 nominal on an 18v system for burps (the "traditional" clamp method is showing ~13kw per amp but it's going to be more like 10kw in reality as the double clamp method isn't super accurate). I figure the first thing to go will be the cones before we run into any other issues... then we can move onto the NS v1/v2 style cones which will hold a bit more. After that we'll have to re-enforce cones until I finish my carbon fiber / foam core cones. We have had some of our guys in Russia hit an NS v.2 with 20,000 watts in a small ported box (160 dB no-wall) -- we could use the identical soft parts to that in a Z v.3 motor... it was 5H NS v1/v2 style spiders and the NS style cone with the SPL coil IIRC.

  6. Who said they couldn't?All haters call them junk and wouldn't use them. That blazer is a good example what they can do. 6 of them 158.1.A 58 with 24 12"s isn't that great...... 500 watt subs to put a 58 is pretty good and sealed not ported is pretty dame good. No, actually its not, Im less than 2 db from that score with only 8 12's and it only took a huge box that leaves your seats sitting straight up, and your body pushed against the steering wheel to do it.....not to mention a stack of amps in between the seats, messy wires everywhere, and forward of the B-pillar which renders your score useless in just about all competition. Honestly bro, 8 12's in a b pillar wall with a huge driver side port only doing a 156 isnt that spectacular. Not to mention, its not even on a Term Lab mic. Whatever though, You don't have much room to talk any shit. I mean, if you love it, great......but keep your trap shut about others, it is totally not necessary. why are you guys even in here talking about who has the most DB's anyway? calling out other people about their system in a thread that is about me dyno'ing the Hifonics amp? Go start a thread on another forum and brag about how your shit is better then the next guy, but don't do it here in my Amp test tuesday thread.

  7. Its all good, I'm just tired of the bashing, it's disgusting. People are entitled to like and run whatever brand they choose, but bashing of another is dumb, they are making products for the hobby we all love, this hobby needs all the support we can give it.
