I don't know what made me do it...but i decided i really wanted those new 1080ti's that came out months ago. This allowed me to put both of my old GTX1080's (from this build) into one of my shop PC's. That thing is no slouch to begin with but now it can be considered a true gamer with 2 in SLI (among it's other decent stats). This also free'd up the 1070gtx that WAS in the shop PC so can upgrade my son to (2) 1070GTX in SLI. We all win Anyhow here is a few pics of the swap. Ok the first thing i did was remove the old GTX1080's. there is my main hard drive...1TB in the size of a small USB stick Ok that is done! up and running good! Now it is time to put those OLD 1080's in my work PC. When i say "one of" that is because i have about 6 at the shop. One of them is my old Alienware and it even has 2 video cards in SLI. I'm a gamer what can i say But my most recent shop PC, the one i sit in front of all day by the CNC, is getting this upgrade. That PC has VERY gamable parts, including a GTX 1070 already in it. NOW it will have a major upgrade. Why? why not Also, when i am running LONG files (4-6hrs or more) on the CNC and i cannot go anywhere out of sight of it, it is nice to have something to do. Who wouldn't wanna play BF1 in FULL ultra mode while at work? Plus it also runs a 2nd monitor with other stuff such as my cameras on it. oh, this pc is no slouch already gotta love how i can just pull some PCI-E power cables out of my ass at any given moment. I have so many lying around from all my builds over the years. 1 GTX 1070FTW next to the new setup the 2 1080's. My work PC > yours. hahah JK Ok i didn't have an HB Bridge available on short notice but i was able to put two sli ribbons on this temporarily until mine arrives. Works the same just not pretty. I ended up getting the EVGA but here is the one that is actually on my home PC two HB bridges. One for my work pc, one for my sons pc when i give him the remaining 1070gtx so he can run SLI Got rid of the ugly SLI cables...
