Oh yeah, I already made a nice little bracket for it, re-wired, mounted and ran it back to my amps. 13.7-14.0 makes me smile

Cool thanks. I actually just got to your other thread that say's go ahead and cut the cord, after the video showing voltage drop. Thanks for the input, and yes, 6.5 seconds after the mailman left, it was plugged in my car so I could check it out. (devil horns held high) ^o^ What size wire is that?

Just got my VM-1 in the mail today. Ordered it through Amazon on Tuesday. Great deal, and fast service to my door. One question, if I want to mount it(which I do), it is not long enough. Do I just cut off the cig lighter plug and add some length of wire and directly wire it in? And where would be the best place to tap into, the HU, or all the way back to my amps?

Oh, and as of right now, I am only running a 600watt Mmats on my mids/highs and 300watts on a single 12. But I just got my SoundQubed 1200 amp, and 2 12's in the mail. I just wanted to make sure my electrical was up to par before I even attempted to upgrade my system. I still might save and add a battery in the back just to overdo it, and make my wiring easier.

I got my quote through here (SMD) first, then he gave me his number and we sorted out the details over the phone. Try this...1-888-mechman my ext is 202. I talked to him on here first, then he gave me that number/extension and I called him and went from there.
