For wire soldering what brand does everybody use and is there a preference in irons?

I use a Weller soldering iron, that's what I learned with in school so I got one.

I really enjoy fiber optics class. Polishing those connectors is tricky to get down though. In other news, soundqubed sent my AQ 90x4 to their "secondary tech", so been without music for a month now, who knows when it'll be back. Es no bueno. I need music to and from work.

ahh that sucks..I have a tech certification for digital but I know a lot of things are switching over to optical nowadays.

wish I could've taken optical. It was offered at the college I got my electronics degree from, but they didn't have enough students to keep it going, or something like that.

I got two tickets today from my university. One for apparently having my pass on the wrong side -told to put it on the right hand side, so that is subjective I guess- and then another for not even having a pass???

One of my first semesters, I caught two tickets. The first was parking without a pass, and the second was using the first ticket to get out of a ticket, which didn't work so well... lol

First two days as an electricians helper have kicked ass. Satisfying as fuck to wire a bunch of shit on, then flip a switch to see a lightbulb come on lol.

It's fun as heck sometimes, been doing it for almost five years, but it can suck ass sometimes. Especially when doing industrial work.
