my current amp amp is not cutting it at 2 ohm load.

they do not get hot at .5. maybe a bit warm after an hour of use or so but never get hot. they are awesome amps.

Ya my buddy blew one of his splx 122hfs and soundstream stopped making them and are out of recones, so hes gonna just run 1 sub off a 2k amp this year and help me out and trade me his 3k.

Ok am I reading this right? The DD1 distorts before it even gets a 40 Hz signal? How can something distort if it doesn't even have a signal yet? Sound defective or something else is wrong... -

Over long periods of time due to vibration, moisture, and many other factors, connections can tend to become loose or corrode causing poor connections.. Make sure all your connections are clean of corrosion. I would take your ground off and actually sand it down and clean it up. I have had many grounds get dirty over time and requires a little re sanding. -

Im in Illinois so I have had snow on the ground for the last few months, glad that shit is finally gone. Now its just raining almost everyday. 50cal im guessing your down south where its real dry? I been wishing it was real dry here because im tired of the swampy muddy shit now. I want to keep my car clean. lol

Thanks guys glad I finally got some feedback im gonna grab some gorilla tape and some some second skin. Not familiar with expanding foam though. I will look into it though. thanks everyone! -

Ya dude I got the trunk stripped down and there is ALOT to seal off. I been using dynamat xtreme and the shit aint cheap either. I seen on ebay like 36 sq ft of some stinger deadner for like $99. I will just do what I can now and slowly seal it off piece by piece. lol -

I'm not sealing off the trunk. I'm mounting the box right in the opening firing forward but i want it to sound clean. I'm not getting much help.. I'm just gonna use dynamat around 6x9s and on any thin metal spots where i think it may help... idk i guess every vehicle is different but I'm just trying to find out where the main spots to cover without covering the whole trunk -

So I was working on replacing my struts and had to tear out the back interior to get to the top of the strut tower and im pulling out the old stock 6x9s anyways in the process and I have a shit load of open holes. when sound deadening what is recommended? I know im putting it around where I drop in my 6x9s and I was thinking just use it to cover all the areas with holes in the metal. I know I shouldn't have to cover everything, I mean I could but im trying to only use it where its REALLY NEEDED if you know what I mean. Here some pics of what it looks like. This must be that pro stock insulation/deadner. lol Check out the stock 6x9s 15W 6 ohm made in Japan. those custom water stains. lol for as shity as they look they didn't sound to bad. See them little holes they are everywhere.
