Hi Guys, Need assistance on my truck. Its a 2006 Avalanche Regency Conversion as stated above. I have a very very small system compared to the ones on here. My main issue right now is as usual for a Chevy, rattling and creeks. 22's don't help either. After reading this forum, I guess I should start with the doors as i have most rattles coming from there and kill 2 bird with one stone in terms of sound quality. Also thinking of doing the B & C pillars if necessary. Second Skin will be my go to product but I cannot at this point in time afford to do 100% coverage. Where do you all suggest I start and what will I need? Thanks, Keagan Edit: Fun began! Doors Pillars Well this is where my 18 sheets of damp pro comes to an end! Another set coming in a week or so hopefully! Those will be for the floors and if any remains then I will use it to start the roof. **17/11/15 updated** I went about doing the floors, the extremely hard way! But got it 98% done So after taking out the back seat with the help of my pops, this happened... 5 mins in Like I mentioned, the extremely hard way!!! This is the reason why I went this route than taking everything out. All my audio & video wires run either under the carpet and most of the others run in the channels, up under the dash through the center console. I was not about to go and disconnect and re-solder and reroute those wires all over again. No sir I surely would not!!! And here we are after a few choice curse words and a lot of heavy lifting, I swear those front seats weigh more than i do, (i'm only 130) This is where the 18 sheets ended, about 1 sheet shy of completing the trans tunnel. From my finger to the end of that red wire that you can't see is all that was left. I could not reach it without completely removing that center console and the air ducts. 1 sheet remained and that would of completed it all. Oh well!

if you want to monitor your amplifier, than the best place you can wire it is directly to the +/- terminals, and the remote turn on. Sorry, I was to say monitor the alternator voltage and not the voltage at the amplifier. Or it doesn't matter? Would it be that much of a difference whether I do it at the amp vs the Alternator?

so i am assuming you got the dial working on them? you just have a back light out on one unit? I know it sucks to send something that small all the way back to us. Ill tell you what. You said you wanted a VM-1. Order a VM-1 and i will toss in a new OM-1 in the package for you. You can just keep the broken one or if you feel like in the future, you can still send it in for repair. If that sounds good to you, let me know. I will be on the lookout for your order. or. If you really don't want to order the VM-1 right now, that is ok, i will send this new replacement OM-1 to you regardless. Email me at [email protected] and let me know what you wanna do Steve, I'm lost for words, talk about standing behind your products. To answer your question, yes I got the dial working, user error on my part. Was using a slightly bigger phillips than I needed to. Adjusted them yesterday and all is well, felt real good to do that on my own. lol. In regards to the VM-1 and your offer, I'm not the type to just take the replacement and run, I will order the VM-1, as it is based on the OM-1 sync video above, you can see I have space on both ends of the OM-1s which looks.. how should I put this? Stupid! An additional gauge will fill it right up! So yes I would take you up on your offer of the replacement OM-1 with my purchase of the VM-1. Not to hijack my own thread, if thats possible. But I want to personally thank everyone in this thread for their advice and most of all Steve for making quality products and all those wild build videos, without those I could not do all the installation by myself. Now! Where do I put that SMD sticker....

Thanks man, was beginning to feel lonely here. Lol. I bought the OM-1s through Amazon store. I live in Belize, which is outside the US obviously, shipping costs are what kills us here, not to mention the wait times to get your products ordered. Amazon don't ship directly to us so I gotta depend on family living in the US to bring my stuff down this side

Hi Guys, Received my 2 OM-1 over the weekend and installed them fairly easy for a first timer to the product. I have noticed that one of the two OM-1 has no backlight (white backlight). Is there anyway to adjust this? Also I watched Steve's video on how to calibrate the OM-1, however turning the dial on the back does nothing, for both OM-1s. This may be user error but whether I turn clockwise or counterclockwise it does nothing. Any help is appreciated. Great product by the way, now I want a VM-1. Thanks, Keagan In the video, I had my dad wire it up for the first time before we ran the full length wires to the dash. Sorry for the portrait video, was late and I was not on all 8 cylinders that night.

Received mine on Sunday, noticed while testing before running wires that one OM-1 has no backlight and the other does? Also I don't know what I'm doing wrong if I am as to why I cant adjust the little knob thingy on the back to match distortion with DD-1. I turn it clockwise, counterclockwise and still no dice. The meter doesn't move at all. Any advice?

Finally found your ride, looking good man! What do you estimate in total for sound deadning door panels and floors. Not cost but how many sheets and feets?

Hi guys, saw the OM-1 fell in love with it. Ordered the two pack along with DD-1 2 days ago. Now the worst part is waiting for it to reach me here in Belize. Shipping to my country has a ridiculously high cost, so I'm waiting on my old man to a take trip to IL. Should be back in around 2-3 weeks and he will bring it back. In the mean time, trying to figure out where it can be mounted in my 06 Avalanche. I like the location Steve has his in his Tahoe but I'm no fabricator. I'm thinking about the storage pocket below the Cig Lighter or the smaller pocket above it. What size are the SMD gauges? OM-1 Edit: Storage area I'm referring to.
