So now I can retune my nvx jad, thanks lol. I only used left channel on front mids and then left channel on front highs. Only used the left input RCA also, unplugged the right altogether , guess I figured headunit was putting out linear output. On a good note, tuning by ear my max volume in my hu was 33, and after using my dd1 it's 36 and got to turn my gains up quite a bit more! Made me have to commit to running my second run of power wire to the md8k tho, can't hold volts with gain set properly, so had to turn gain back down till second run is done.
lol my pleasure, happy to help motivate

Yeah...last night after posting this I decided to give it one more try and first thing I did was remove mounting screws from amp, slide it towards front a bit and tightened the speaker outputs down on the leads. That definitely frees up your hands to make the gain adjustment. It also got rid of some of the flickering of the lights on the DD1...nice tight connections.
But I still wind up with distortion in the speakers even when the distortion light does not come on. I still question the DSR1 interface. I guess the next thing to do is measure the voltage coming out of the RCAs that input to the amp. I think I found a setting in the DSR1 called Amp Gain that might be useful. Also, since I use the iDataLink Meastro I have the Input level on the DSR1 set to high. I might try setting that to low and bypassing the iDataLink Meastro features.
I can set the gains on the amps by ear and get crystal clear sound. But when I use the DD1 and follow the instruction I get distortion when I turn the volume up. One thing I noticed last night is the left side gets distortion (the light on the DD1) at a lower gain setting than the right side. Is it possible my amp is blown?Im going to follow up with Rockford Fosgate tech support to see if I have that set up properly. There were some setup settings when I programmed the DSR1 that I did not fully understand which could be the cause of my troubles.
when using a DD1 on a 4 channel amp you want to hook the positive lead to the positive of channel 1 and the negative to the negative terminal of channel 2, effectively bridging the 2 channels to the DD1, that way you won't have a disparity between them, itll allow you to set them both equally to your max clean volume.
as far as the other equipment you're running (maestro, dsr1) I don't have any experience with those, hopefully someone who does can chime in

i've found when setting at the amp it makes it easier to put the DD1 leads in the speaker outputs and actually tighten the output terminals down to hold the leads in place. just my $0.02 that frees up your hands to adjust gain and volume on the HU without losing your output

try reversing the wires on one side of the box, Hook positive to positive and negative to negative on one side of the box, and positive to negative and negative to positive on the other side of the box. many times with a bandpass enclosure of this sort it will increase output by putting the woofers in a push-pull configuration.
also be aware that the amplifier you are using is a home theater amplifier and is sending a full range signal to your woofer, not a properly crossed over bass only signal. for best results try to find a subwoofer amplifier (search for a plate style home theater subwoofer amplifier) to get the best out of your subs. also also, this enclosure is not going to be the best choice for a home theater setup, but if it makes you happy, have fun with it

No offense taken! The short answer is that it won't be right for every customer. Some people just want to bundle everything together. Some are looking for the best price no matter what.
We felt that we had enough people asking for a Velcro-type solution, that it'd be worth offering the best version we could find. For those that value the convenience of getting everything at once, Dual Lock is there for you. If you'd like to get your deadener from Second Skin and adhesives from Amazon, we're all for that too.
that's an excellent response, much love!

so, and i mean no offense by this, why would we pay $45 (your full price, before this 40% discount) when amazon sells it with scissors for $20 with prime shipping, and that's just from a few seconds of searching? I added your dual lock to a cart, and found a coupon code and the lowest i got to before shipping was $25

Actually there is no hook or loop with Dual Lock, so not Velcro. It connects with hundreds of little stems that lock in like LEGOS. Dual Lock can be attached in any direction and stuck and removed over a 1,000 times without wearing down like Velcro. The Dual Lock also has a high temperature acrylic adhesive for use with vinyl projects and can hold the heaviest of materials in a vertical position without issues. Dual Lock is the strongest holding reclosable adhesion system on the market.
nice! i was really just busting your balls anyway

are there other options that are greyed out? if so, you may need to engage the parking brake (assuming it's properly wired up) to enable the options. i know pioneer you can't adjust certain things, or even do the firmware updates, without the parking brake engaged or a parking brake bypass installed. that was how i overcame a similar issue with mine. parking brake bypasses are super cheap on amazon or ebay.

that "tacos" line was awesome

Dude. No homo, but you look great! Whatever you're doing diet/fitness wise, you're killing it.
Also, only cause I know so little about lifts, does this affect the geometry of the driveshaft or anything like that? Or does that only really happen with extreme lifts?

just an fyi when trying to order damp pro in the free shipping usps boxes (didnt try on anything else) it forces you to add the $10 roller and won't let you undo it. probably just a site error, but it'd be worth fixing. keep up the great work/product!
