  1. The 8 track was the first mainstream recording that could be played in the car. The under dash record player never really caught on. The 8 track had 4 programs or "sides" that you could switch to. The tape was in a continuous loop and made it easy to set the mood when you had your girl in the car. Instead of relying on the radio to play the right song at the right time you could just pop in the cartridge and the rest is history. lol
  2. Cool stuff! Sounds like you have a place to go for summer vacation Steve. lol I liked the Alpine cassette tape changer and the under dash 8 tracks and radios. There has to be a longer video somewhere.
  3. Now that's thinking outside the box! There is more than one way to put subs in the back and this is a perfect way to utilize that space. Great work!
  4. Try the skaraudio link. When I hit it, it brings me back to this page. lol
  5. That's it thanks man! It used to be that you could see all content and if you knew approximately when it was, you could go back down the list until it was found. I guess I will have to leave comments as book marks.
  6. How do I find content I have already read? Like if I decide it is too much to read now and go back later. Its too late. I have to remember what the thread was and the section it was in. I can't seem to filter to content already read. Only not read. I was trying to find that video of a bluegrass song that someone was doing of a song that originally not bluegrass.
  7. Try it both ways and see if there is any difference. Then you can let me know because I have always followed the directions.
  8. They had a DAT player back in the day that I wanted to replace my tape deck. Bass would make a CD skip and DAT looked like the solution, but the price never came down enough. Thank goodness for USB.
  9. The radio just clips in, no screws makes it simple for sure. Just say no to the triple decker. lol What are those neat little crimpers you were using on the bench?
  10. I paid for a bronze membership right after the update. I figure I'm on the list somewhere.
  11. Let us know what they say. I would be interested to see if they return to normal resting voltage after a few days.
  12. Do the cases look swollen? Do the outsides look wet like they vented? If everything looks normal on the outside then I would guess that they are ok. maybe email kinetik to see what they say.
  13. It might go under 12 on peaks. To be safe, only turn it up until the volt meter starts to bounce.
  14. It pops up a tiny box that says "Loading" but never finishes. I am on an old Surface RT tablet but it worked fine before the update. I will have to break out the laptop I guess. lol
  15. On big threads like the RPP, when opened it goes to the first page. When I try to click on the most recent last page, its like its trying to open all the pages instead of just the last page and it takes forever and never finishes. Is there a setting somewhere that I can select to help this? As it is now I can't view any of the big threads. Thanks in advance, I know you guys are swamped.
  16. The full site skin works just fine on my mobile. I just can't hardly read the text. It's giving my bifocals a workout. Lol
  17. I can't live without it either. Site looking good new features a plus. Keep up the good work. It probably doesn't help that everyone is on here trying to push all the buttons. lol
