What's the best trk to set gains on dd-1 listen to mainly rebassed music djsnt, Dj rusticals, djdb, decaf, etc. Have to gain match 2 dc5ks one older one and one a3

I use -5dB, for what its worth. I then take frequency impedance measurements with Got160s -4.5dB. My OM-1 rarely shows clipping.
EDIT: Hey Rick, measure voltage with your DMM on both amps when you set them with the DD-1. Sometimes they clip at different voltages, so you can set both amps with the exact same voltage (whichever is lower).

Does the distortion detect light on the DD-1 only work for the 40 & 1khz tracks? Or will it light up with distortion at any frequency and just leave the two test frequency detect lights unlit?

Noob question. There is a blue/white “remote turn on” on both harnesses. Im not supposed to connect thise two together right? I can use them as individual turn on sources?

Just saw your chatbox post. I responded there and realized you're on Hawaii time, so you'll probably get this in a few hours from now.
Yes you can use them both for remote turn-ons. You know how you can check? Connect everything, power it all up, and check both leads for voltage with a DMM. Turn power off and make sure both are off. Then you're good to go.

Spent 1 hour trying to get the Hybrid Audio clarus midbass speaker grill on to no avail. Quality of the speaker sounds great but fucking speaker grill is poorly made and worst than china.

I had some kitty hair. Brand new never been opened ever since I bought (a year or two ago(& hardener)). I stored it in room temperature and the guy said the shelf life lasts forever. I go to use it a couple days ago(after a year or two). I thought it was gonna be body filler. But it was real fiberglass. I didn’t know. It was watery, with fibers, & was nothing like body filler on YouTube. I tried stirring it to get it to be more like body filler instead of fiberglass. But it was still kinda watery. Then I mixed the hardener with it. And the hardener was watery. I tried squeezing the tube of hardener and stir/mix the hardener back to the texture it’s supposed to be. But ended up just mixing watery hardener with watery kitty hair. It was cold and dark outside. I did not think it was gonna dry.

Man I feel you on that. I fought alternator troubles for 6 weeks, a fucking 20ga wire had come loose on the connector. I was damn near ready to trash the whole car haha. Good luck man. Its gonna be dope when you get that done! A couple hours of time and it'll be back together.

The plug doesnt fit, like I said above. The AA has a 4 wire plug that doesnt have the circuitry for clipping indication. I have a Sundown 6K with knob so I have an extra that I was able to compare to.

The AA5K has a 4 wire connection, not a 6 or 8 that is commonly used with other Korean makes.

Indeed, or when the DD-1 light goes off. I usually read voltage when the DD-1 light goes off and then round down a bit for a cushion (-5dB track lights up around 73V, I set the amp to 70V). I havent installed it yet since I need to make a mount on my dash.

Hey Alex, I was wondering, how are you monitoring clipping? My AA5Ks didnt come with a clipping indicator so I just play it by ear/smell right now. Just picked up an OM-1 but havent hooked it up yet.
But I remind myself the SPL is worth it ~.~
