  5. Found a belt that is 57.5". 3 inches shorter. Do you guys think it will fit?
  6. I'm going to try auto zone tomorrow. 1/2 should work, but 1 inch would be ideal.
  7. Yep- I had to do this at Autozone. I took in my existing belt and told them I need one shorter. Hopefully you can find someone behind the desk that is helpful. The guy who helped me had to make several trips back and forth, but they found one that was spot on. Just compare it to the one you have and put them side by side until you find the right one. IMO, that would be easiest for you too. I already tried advanced auto parts, and the guy said the shortest they had was 56". I needed 59.5-58.5.
  8. Found the catalog, but it's really confusing. Looks like I need section K, but they don't have it. I found the length I need, but it's a section J.
  9. 2001 bmw 325i I'm having trouble finding right size. The only thing I can change is belt size. I'm putting a smaller pulley on alternator.
  10. My stock belt is 60.5" long and .82 in wide, 6 rib. I need to find a belt that is 1"-2" shorter, but had no luck so far. I ordered one from vbeltco.com but it turned out to be too wide. Could you please help me find one or tell a place where I can order one. Thanks
  11. I got similar problem now also. When at idle, it charges at 13.8. When I rev up to 2k rpm it would go up to 13.9, but as soon as it drops back to idle, voltage would drop to ~11v and climb back to 13.8. I'm running singer alternator.
  12. I don't have a charger at this time. I'll have to dig into that one thread regarding how people should charge batteries overnight. I was hoping that if I get a good alternator I wouldn't have to worry about charging the batteries Alternator only puts out when demanded. When your car is running it puts out ~50amp, that are consumed by your car. I would buy charger before installing them.

  14. I'm running saz2500 to my SA 10's . Had them in 2 different boxes. 1st was according to box suggestion from sundown , other was half of the suggested volume. Worked well in both of them. Never got stinky, just really warm.
