It could be that one of the Kinetik battery have some issuses inside it. You might have a lemon in that battery.. -

I choose 2 10" than the 3 8" because 10" give you deep hard hitting bass. 8" are good for mids/highs.. That just me. -
I prefer Crimping because it's much faster than soldering.. That just me....

Just get a bolt on muffler because i don't recommend cutting it and welding if you don't know how to do that. It pretty simple to unbolt and and put a the new muffler if you got tools to do it and how how-to..
