you can fit a 6.5" in a 6x9 hole. the speakers might even come with a baffle for you. no holes to cut. and i say no because they are overpriced. could get the same quality set of another brand for 200 cheaper. ill recommend the image dynamics XS65. killer speakers.

if you have a grinder, use a flap disk. itll be 10x faster than that wire wheel

8 0 grit flap disk on a grinder will take that off nicely. no need for a new basket just because of glue. keep grinding until you see silver. and no, you cant glue over the old glue.

i have some skull candies with the same size speaker in them. they sound REALLY good and are probably half that price.

i completely agree but just to throw this out there. if you ever go below the recommended load you should create a cooling system. a good amp rack with a push/pull fan setup. you need to take away the extra heat the amp will be generating. and an amp overheating wont cause clipping. except when you have to clip off the mosfets after they burn.

lol ya, that would be running the battery dead. you are really hurting the battery by running it so low. its probably already lost a lot of its capacity. a deep cycle battery will last longer (amount of charges). yes a second battery will obviously let you play longer.

thanks man, she is awesome. the 1st cancer was one that would not spread to the other breast, no chance. she had a mastectomy that took 8 hours and a week in the hospital to recover. then on a check up they find a different type of cancer in the other one. she did some research and found a new type of surgery that only some doctor in NY does. told her surgeon about it and he did it on her. 2 hour surgery and went home the next day. by the time she had her surgery the doctor had already done it to 2 other women. so by now she has saved a lot of women a good deal of pain and suffering.

there are a few ways to wire a sub. post a link to exactly what you did. baaudio, thats a good call. check the HU fuse. he could also try to touch one wire from the 12+ wire to the remote terminal on the amp. just to see if it turns on(dont leave it like that!). if it does, then you have a problem with the remote lead. either the wire broke or the hu isnt sending power through it.

well without knowing how you have all this wired i couldnt say. but the amp fried because of you. say the amp is rated at 2ohm at the lowest, if you wire to 1ohm the amp will overheat and cook itself from the increase in current. since the amp is cheap, the protection didnt save it.

my 1st guess is that you fried the amp by wiring the subs to a final load that was too small for the amp. does the amp turn on?

ya, if your running the battery dead each time i would say a optima yellow top since its a deep cycle. but your going to kill any battery if you do that. looks like you have room for a G31 battery. should last a while longer. obviously that amp is whats using up most of the power. without it the battery should last hours. oh, last thing. a clipped signal uses a hell of a lot more current. and with all the boost settings you are using... full volume... ya, you ARE clipping the shit out of it.

rear fill isnt NEEDED... it is good for some ambiance but they are usually on very low volume. what are you doing with the tweeters? If you really want to dial in an EQ, an RTA mic will help. but maybe you dont like a flat response... maybe 2000hz hurts your ears and you like extra midbass. your ears can tell you that just fine. dont get me wrong buddy, its a good thing to do. but ive never been on an RTA and i like to think i got my system to sound pretty good. although the ms-8 did most of it for me lol.

the only problem with the 3sixty is that the low output is mono(no left and right). its really only made for tweeters, mids and subs. but maybe you can set it up to crossover where you want to with the high and mid outputs. im not sure, never played with one.

depends on what you want to do. you could do this with a 4 channel, the left 6.5"s get one channel right gets another. same thing for the 8"s. obviously if you want more power you get more amps to split up the 6.5"s. otherwise you just need a crossover. you dont need a mic like finkster said. the crossover needs a bandpass channel for the mids and a lowpass for the midbass. you can just set the highpass on the amp for a bandpass effect on the midbass. yes, it is much better. you could go with the crossover or get a processor. depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of results you want.
