  1. and since when did we start using home stereo in our cars? look at speaker sizes, tweeters play the highest frequencies and are the smallest. less mass can move faster. mid range are often 3-5" midbass is 6.5 and up they are that way for a reason. and loud doesnt mean it sounds good. hell, the SQ guys all looked at me like i was crazy when i showed them i had 6.5" mid ranges.
  2. im not exactly your average user that goes to RF's website. It's not like im pulling comments out of my ass. i have an oscope and a few clamp meters. i study this stuff and i get "every POSSIBLE watt" i can.
  3. a 12" speaker has too much mass to move at the higher frequencies of voices.
  4. well i guess that depends on you. i, for one, get ever possible watt out of my amps even on music. they damn sure dont do half power on music.
  5. lol nothing "fanboi" about audiopipe subs. i dont see many people using them and the ones that do are just using them because they are cheap. no one said anything bad about audiobahn, just that the subs are really old and not worth much. think my subs will be worth much in 10 years? probably not. why does every noob take things so personally?
  6. 12v battery charges at 14v 14v at 16v 16v at 18v your car should be ok on a 14v system but a 16v system would be too much. your alt needs to be set to charge at the higher voltage by the maker.
  7. 1200w / 14v = 85.7amps / 70%efficiency = 122amps that your car needs to supply your sub amp. your car should be using 70-80% of your stock alts output so add that number to the amount of power you need. if you got a 250 amp alt you probably wouldnt need extra batteries.
  8. i hope he saved some children from these teachers.
  9. lol you put in october like i did. doug, its 1am here. you're asking for a lot for the hour lol.
  10. i honestly dont know what the hell im doing but its telling me $391
  11. i hate you...
  12. obviously the question is "how do you spell 'rilly'?" and "pikey" "dose" "differant" and "rizes"
  13. YYYEEEESSSSSS. build a system with your system!
  14. ok so the wire is melting at the fuse block because its the point of most resistance. if the wire melts before the fuse blows then the fuse is too big for the wire but it should also mean that you are pulling more current than the wire can take. that or the fuse block sucks. go with the 2awg since you already have it. also go to BCAE1.com and click on "wire" it'll tell you everything you need to know. even if you just skip to the pics.
  15. its "saz" not "zax"
  16. ya... i dont see what was wrong with that woofer. it took a good 30 burps at 3500w and only stopped working because you cut it up. i mean... it looks like your destroyed a perfectly good sub. so what was wrong with it that made it "junk"?
  17. fuse size? wire size? amps? batteries? grounding points? big 3? we cant pull an answer out of thin air.
  18. if you have enough clamps, and almost no one does, you dont need screws. but screws do make good clamps. if you do use nails you need to use a clamp 1st then nail rite next to it. a nail wont push the 2 boards together sufficiently.
  19. ya, sorry man but there are a lot of people in your spot. he isnt here. we cant get a hold of him. several people very close to him have tried. he could be dead for all we know. thats the level of his disappearance.
  20. he stopped pretending to care and went back to being himself. IMO
  21. i never was a fan of the bowl method. it never seems to make a bigger flare than i could with a roundover bit on the wood. also doesnt leave a lip for you to screw down to the box.
  22. its only for selling. anyone can buy.
