Alright a guy offered me a trade. I can trade him my 4 SA-8's for a single RE MT 18. The only thing is the MT has a small hole in the surround. Or I could wait and get 2 more SA-8's. So 6 SA-8's or 1 RE MT 18

I had a 97 Contour and you can get those fairly loud. If I was you I would just look into running better subs and a better amp. I had 2 12" Type R's in my car and they got pretty loud on just 1000 watts. Or if you have the balls WALL THAT BISH!

Floored it in a 3.0 liter Ranger? lol that doesn't work! I had one and it had NO power! Be carful though the 3.0's are prone to breaking down alot. I had to put a new head gasket and water pump in mine. But it sounds like you could have messed up something in the alignment like already stated.

SPL boxes are tuned higher i'm not sure how high tho. You could probably just build one box with a changeable port.
