  1. i'd just make the width to 50". then it'd be able to be slid in and out of the truck. x2 on height. i have class to go to here in a half hour, but when i get home i'll see what i can come up with as well. maybe a quick sketchup
  2. you've got something brown on your nose ;) holy shit...40 forums? i'm a member of...3 or 4. i visit this one mostly. i try to edge my way over to FGF at times. but i've learned a lot here as well
  3. as well as doubling cone area i knew a guy who doubled power (i think...might have just added a lot more power) and said his score actually went down. from what i understand, every 3 db's is twice as loud (but as said, not to the ears) so you cant just go adding 1000 watts to gain a db, or else there'd be no end to it. i mean...look at the people who run 100,000 watt burp machines. say...if they hit 150 with 5000 watts. they'd only need 20,000 more watts to hit a 170 using his theory. steve himself has 20k watts and hits mid to high 150's, nowhere NEAR a 170. imo...once you get to a certain level, a 158 is nowhere near a 159, or 160 since it will take SO MUCH work and tweaking and power and whatnot to get that next db
  4. my future dream is to get a fullsize truck, or at least room enough in the back for several big woofers that could handle a 3500D a piece...the bed of the truck would allow a lil hauling still, and bags. but that's after i get out of school. sooooo if you could be done with testing by then that'd be great thanks
  5. that cop has a short fuse. definitely not the line of work he should be in
  6. i hear you on that. i wanted an envoy period when i was lookin at SUV's, but toooo pricey. so i ended up with my explorer instead
  7. maybe an educated guess? sonoma's and s10's look really similar to me (i know that doesnt mean they ARE tho) or maybe he's seen one at least. i lowered mine in the back with blocks a few years ago...and now i added 700 pounds of shit in the back and i sit even lower and it's hella bumpy i gotta get those blocks outta there
  8. yeah you'd be better off with bigger batteries. more powerful that way. and i'd run 8 ga wire to your subs. just cuz you can. might be overkill...but i like to be safe than sorry. as for the box...what are your dimensions you have to work with?
  9. i use a 2 part epoxy that comes in a lil tube for small things like that. i used it to make the frame for my volt meter in my console yesterday. stuff holds pretty well
  10. i have a copy of this. VERY VERY in depth. you definitely gotta know what you're doing. pimp shit tho nonetheless
  11. x2 on the current draw. that's gonna take a lot to power that properly. i'd just do it right and get some speakers that were made for it. i plan on adding a lil more bass to my setup (PC speakers btw...which werent expensive and sound amazing) but i'm only going to add a 200 watt 8" sub to mine and that's it
  12. everyone that said anything remotely positive about soulja boy should get bitch slapped with the ban stick
  13. street fighter vs x-men was pimp shit! i wanna try this one out
  14. x2. pointless to add another layer of fleece seeing as how it's only used to get the shape. i'd be mad if i owned that benz and had a black square around my screen that doesnt come close to matching anything else in the car. and crooked
  15. i'll even send you a bag of candy
  16. only thing i will say about that vid is that they were free air when he socketed em. but that still doesnt mean they'll work in this application tho. EDIT: actually, he had them hooked up in series, so it was seeing an 8 ohm load too btw
  17. i've shipped 2 18" solo x's, and 4 15" btls. i used MDF for the base and the top, then used 2x4's on the corners right up to the edge of the basket to keep the sub from flippin around. couple of screws will hold it in place. used styrofoam around the edge of the top of the gasket to hold it down and to prevent the top piece from pushing down on the surround. it takes a lil while, but best to do it right the first time either way you look at it, the sub is heave as hell (at least mine were) so a few more pounds in wood didnt matter all THAT much. do what ya gotta do
  18. after/if they blow if they work, more power to you but i dont have a good feeling about it
  19. send them to me afterwards so i can fix em and put em in a t-line hooked to my PC please
  20. ah shit...gonna cut it close to work, but it's worth callin in late for. i'll be watchin for sure
  21. or let him put that power on the E8's and have him make a vid when he turns it on for the first time
  22. i really hope he doesnt put 750 to each...i wouldnt put over 300. i saw a thread (i think it was from jacob) that put 400 watts on em and said that's pretty much the limit. and that was 400 watts from a guy who knows well what he's doing.
  23. stanky leg isnt really even a dance imo. you're just twistin your leg around a lil. doesnt count. not only are songs getting worse...so are the dances. such lack of imagination
