How much more will you have to pay to replace it? If you paid $1000 and have to pay $1600 to replace it that;'s a $600 loss. Do you think you'll pay more than $600 (or whatever the difference is) in interest on the money you put on the credit card before you get your settlement and can pay it off? Plus if you make or lose on the sale… I'd crunch the numbers instead of just picking a path.
