Sundown amps can be retarded sometimes, so try the red probe in the speaker negative. Leave the black probe in the amp ground.

i feel the wrong track(s) have been used......... i feel he used a MINUS track to find head unit clip point, and from there....... your dicked (would explain why his volume clicks where SOOOO far down showing clipping ) Just wish I could be there in person to see what the fuck is going on.

First things first then. Are all the settings on the head unit flat? Crossovers open, No EQ, no bass boost, no 'LOUDNESS' turned on? And subwoofer level at ZERO (this can be readjusted later).

Well obviously that shit ain't working right, is it? Use zero subwoofer level, volume 33, and set the gain and tell us what you get.

Holy shit man, are you even paying attention to what I've been telling you? Subwoofer level at zero, not 15. Headunit volume at 33. Now adjust the gain. Make sure all headunit settings are flat, no bass boost, no LOUD. If you are using a remote bass knob, make sure its turned up before you set the bass amp gain.

Dude, you are doing it wrong. With your gain at 0, turn the volume up to 33 on the headunit. Then adjust the gain.

Up to you. If you listen to a lot of Decaf or other boosted stuff, i'd do -5 to be safe. You can use -10, but have to be more aware of what your subs are doing.

I would leave the sub level at 0 then. (We'll come back to this though) Now, set your amp gains. I usually use to clicks under max, so in your case 33-35. If you are using a remote bass knob for your amp, make sure its turned all the way up when you set the amp gain.

Forget the amp for now. You need to get the headunit squared away first.

What was the clip point using the 0db track? You really want to set the HU with the 0db tracks.

Was it asked already where you live? Maybe someone is close enough to come help you out. These types of threads are frustrating because its hard to help without getting hands-on with the setup and checking all the settings.
