  1. Don't ruin an amp to try something that won't work as you can sell it to recoup some of the money spent on a new one.
  2. Check all wiring cause something is grounding out, it might be at the speaker or it might be at the amp or on the terminal between the amp and sub and just make sure you have no strands of wire touching anything. If everything else checks out then your amp might be taking a crap on you.
  3. A notarized contract would be the only route to go to save your backside in the event they try to pull out and do some shady stuff to you.
  4. Low voltage creates a spiraling death for regulated amps, as the voltage drops it requires more power to play the same volume and as the voltage continues to drop it draws even more power and gets to the point of no return and goes nuke and makes the magic smoke. Unregulated power supplies will decrease the volume as the voltage drops so it will save your amp from going nuclear on low power and conversely if you add more power to the amp it will increase in power output.
  5. The ultimate meal. http://www.infobarrel.com/Bacon_Cheese_Pizza_Burger I have yet to try and make one but one day rest assured it will happen.
  6. Replace the stock bushings on the control arms with prothane/energy suspension ones. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=05+chevy+avalanche+prothane+bushing+kit&_sacat=0&_odkw=05+chevy+avalanche+energy+suspension+bushing+kit&_osacat=0 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=05+chevy+avalanche+energy+suspension+bushing+kit&_sacat=0&_odkw=05+chevy+energy+suspension+bushing+kit&_osacat=0
  7. You get what you pay for and if you pay a few hundred that is all about as much work as will go into it, at the very least pay to have it sprayed, sanded and clear coated. I have seen a few maaco paint jobs that looked great and some that looked like hell so you want to spend what is needed to get the job done correctly.
  8. Way too small for a 15" regardless of what someone says, you want at least 3.5cf to start and go up to 4.0cf depending on your goals.

It's garbage, don't waste your hard earned money on something that'll blow in a month or two. Add a little more money and get a quality amp that can be beat on without fear of damaging it.
  10. CF sub box made purposely for spl as in a burp box might be the most ideal way to go since the material is so reflective it could increase the output more than one made from mdf with resin on the walls. i would not try to make one for listening to music cause of all the serious amounts of reflections and cancellations going on inside it.
  11. CF will suffer from the same thing as all other materials and that is the box resonance that will occur with it, it is quite possible that it may be worse as the thickness won't be as thick as it should be. While it would be badass to have something made of CF it is not a practical or financial thing to do.
  12. Yup, you'll need to switch both sets on with the button on the front panel.
  13. Run the speakers as i said in the post above with 2 sets of 8 ohm wired to 4 ohm and the 6 ohm on the other speakers. So it would be 2 8 ohm sets on speaker A and 1 6 ohm set on speaker B cause you don't want to run below the rated ohm load on it.
  14. Is this it? http://www.ebay.com/...0#ht_1074wt_906 What speakers A and B allow you to do is to connect 2 sets of speakers to the amp, so you could wire 2 sets of 8 ohm down to 4 ohm on speaker A with the switch set to 4 ohm and your 6 ohm speakers on B speaker but the difference in ohm load means one set may be louder than the other set. EDIT: After a bit of searching it has 4 amps built in that are 50w per channel.
  15. What make and model is the amplifier? You can google and see what you come up with as far as what it is capable of doing.
  16. Bottom pic means that the unit acts as one instead of 2 in one housing, it allows you to remove the U shaped jumpers and run rca's to an external amp if you choose to. You can use the tape inputs if something doesn't seem right with the aux input, but it could also mean something is wrong with the internal amps or your wiring is to low an ohm load for the amp to handle.
  17. Top pic is probably running to low an ohm load. Bottom pic is exactly what you see, those loop the internal amp to the preamp.
  18. A chance to earn more money and you need our advice? lol EDIT: nothing ventured nothing gained.
  19. Testimonials of what? There are no verses threads and this can get into that category real quick As was pointed out yours, mine and everyone else's opinion on what loud means is different to everyone out there. You'll just have to go out and try to find the ones that in your opinion get loud to you, the biggest determining factor in any situation will be the enclosure.
  20. That was the best self produced movie ever and he destroyed 93 cars in one chase scene. Fucking EPIC!
