both do rated at their rated voltages...but the 10k is way more efficient in the 12v world.....heres a test cody did on the amp dyno simulating voltage drop on 12v setups

I knew there was a reason I LOVED my DC7.5k so much!!!

Thats what I ld start with ....i have a dc power sp320 and only have 2 group 31s in back and a group 34 up front running a RF 1000-4ad and DC7.5K at 0.5 ohm and lowest I drop is 13.1-13.4 demo after demo ...and anyone who has gotten a demo from me knows I dont take it easy Lol. ....

I clamped 8400+ out of mine....starting at 0.5 ohm rising to a little over 1ohm, voltage starting at 15.1ish dropping to 13.4

Maybe its time to step up to more power.... 9k and 10k shipped to 92130

itll be there,installed that bish yesterday afternoon that 7.5k is one sexy amp! and was the DD amp in the picture the amp that was running your w7's in escondido? yeah it did a 147.4@37hz wired at 1.5ohms cause of JLs weird ass impedance ratings,when i get my 15s ill be wired at .5 i see mayhems listed in your signature, is that what you had or what you are getting?That's what I was running before now gonna run some custom subs.running JL 13w7s temporally cause they were the only subs I had laying around and I must say they've impressed the hell out of me

Finally decided to jump on the DC wagon and i must say after a day and a half this is now my favorite amp now just gotta decide if i wanna add 2 more platinum pm-1s in back or sell my current ones and switch to xs power 14v batts...decisions decisions didnt realize how beasty this amp was,next to the DD Z1a its replacing

I paid $1099 for my RF 1000a2 1000 rms back in '98 ....I paid $950 for my DD Z1a 5700 rms 2years ago ....so yeah times have changed Lol

ive had mine for about a year and a half absolutely love it,charge at 15.6 cold 14.9 hot

i wish they werent so long id love to slang my DD Z1a get one of these but id have to mount it to my box which im not a big fan of.....
