  1. fixmyspeaker sells it on there site, along with a hardener.
  2. so you are saying we are viewing a 1 in a 1,000,000,000,000,000 situation where this guy gets struck by lightning less than a few feet from him and he gets no burn and just gets up after a few seconds. yeah man make perfect since when you think about it. Wow, this isn't astronomical, I was speaking in general. MANY get struck by lightning and nothing happens. The BS is your responses, I'm done with this post because I can already see that your probably going respond with another ignorant post.

  4. Every strike isn't the same, you can't base an assumption on 1 occasion you have seen. Just cause so and so died or so and so had burns doesn't mean EVERYONE gets burned or killed. There are always astronomical occurrences that can happen that baffle mankind in general. It could go either way with this vid. Edit: vid looks like it is cropped so the guy was probably videoing heavy rain or something and happened to get that on tape
  5. should rest 14.3 to 14.5 at idle. regular OEM alts sit at 13.7- 14 (more like 13.98).
  6. as far as the monster 12ga, thats fine to use, might be a little big actually for components but it will still work with both.
  7. Could save the big box and put an 18 in it
  8. -Listentoyoutube.com To download of YouTube -audacity To slow it
  9. Didn't read above but I have a had lvl 4 15s for a while, they like 3.25-4 cubes, tuning no lower than 30hz. 33 or 34 was the butter zone for lows for me.
  10. you need a clamp meter, and a digital multimeter. Then you can.
  11. well your right i dont know everything but theres a difference between installation and knowing the terms and workings and configurations of the amps like rms and peak power...i meen yes i shouldve phrased my question different but im 14 so you dont have to get all sarcastic on me he wasnt being sarcastic, thats one of the first thing people usually learn, and being 14, i really am doubtful that you know a lot, ive done all my own car audio stuff (2.5 years) and cruised forums, i sometimes think i know a lot, until i realize i have barely scratched the surface. just saying...
  12. But the general rule of thumb is 12-16, some say 14-16 or live by some number in there. You will be perfectly fine with 12-16.
  13. ohh ok. thats just what me and my brother used to do.
  14. just tape the barrel, or the meat of the barrel.
  15. a lot of cheap brands copy mainstream looking stuff, like the BAMF series from PA looks like Rockfords, that sub the op posted looks like the old CVR, and there some other stuff like that too. But for 60, its your decision. I used to run SSL amps and they sucked, never tried there subs though. Your choice...
  16. 1200 for 4 15in hifonics? rather get 2 18s from DC, AA, Fi, SA, or some place like that.
  17. Big extra battery and a nice one up front ant you will have slight voltage drop but probably nothing below 12.5
  18. Don't use the same holes over and over?
  19. its a fiberfab avenger, there is the gt-12 and the gt-15 versions. it was made in the 60s and 70s to resemble the ford gt body style. FYI there is also the Valkyrie style that looks very similar also. im almost sure that the one above is a gt-15 though.
  20. almost looks like the ford gt, but it isnt.
  21. damn thats crazy. Didnt it used to only have 2 3ks or something?
  22. i do but im not tellin you'll need to pm ndmstang for that ok will do. edit: whole thing behind this, I have my two new dc lvl4 15s in and love them(can hit every note with them from 27hz to 80hz, and they absolutely wang 32 and below), but i know because of how i am i will want something new in a month or two which is right when grad money comes in (not scholarships and grants, money from family and friends). Will probably sell my DCs, maybe the AQs even though i love them (i like the BC3000) and do a high powered 18 in a low tuned box that murders lows, like 28hz. ill probably have about 2k for 1 18 and an amp, and the box build which should only be like 100-150 in materials).
  23. Yea, someones designing me a box, im gonna make it right. And I kinda already included selling current stuff I have into it so I really dont have any more to spend. Thanks for noticing tho. I might get a partial refund or store credit for the fried subs (since the subs im returning still look brand new, idk what theyre gonna do with them, use the outer parts?) And dont worry I will try and make sure I do it right this time lol. Unfortunately.. the amp will have to be later and a battery now.. But is it completely necessary i get one of the monster batterys? or would any of the cheaper ones work. Yea.. prolly just gonna use my current one since its 2500rms @ 2 ohm (until someone buys it) then might have to upgrade but hopefully I can find cheaper or a good condition used one. Also need a battery to decrease my voltage drops.. so will def need to save for that first Btw im gonna get an AA Mayhem 18" If the amp your talking about doing 2500rms at 2ohm is the PA BAMF, then you would notice a huge difference buying a AQ2200. I'm willing to bet that BAMF is putting out about 1200w at 1ohm, max... You are terribly wrong.. first off its in my sig, the gothic series 5500w. very similar tho, and it definatly puts out 2k+ rms @ 2 ohms.. because I just fried the fuck out of my 2k rms subs. altho if i had time to finish makin the new box it prolly wouldnt of happened. But yea all you hear is good things about the aq2200 so it will definately be in the back of my mind, but I gotta make due with what I can for now. Im already tryin to sell the amp I have now. **If someone has great advice on a battery lmk. I understand ideal im gonna need a better more expensive battery, but I wanna know how low its safe to go (CHEAPER)** overpowering isnt the only thing that fries subs. And that gothic series is way overrated, it doesnt do 2.5krms, fyi.
