    I think a lot have similar layouts, yes. But there are differences in types and quality of the stuff used, like caps, fets, inductors, resistors etc.

    I owned CVRs years ago and was never happy with their sound. Deciding between the Pioneers and Kenwoods will mainly depend on what you aim to wire them all down to. Oh, and what size subs?

    I have always wondered this myself. I'm sure there is almost nothing audio-related you could do that would void the powertrain warranty, except maybe an alt upgrade. In to see what people say. You could also ask the dealership, but I'm not convinced they'd have a complete answer.
