best way to cover a speaker pod in vinyl ???
baaudio replied to michigancapri92's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
x2 use heat but be careful. and when you glue it spray both surfaces and let it sit for a bit to get tacky then apply the vinyl. if you spray it then immediately put it on youre going to have trouble getting it to stick -
Right now on partsexpress they have the audiosource amp100 on sale for $88. I'm picking one up for my room. I'm putting a 12" in a t-line and this amp is a perfect match imo. Check it out. Seems like a good deal!

I paid $25 a yard when I did my headliner. It was a bitch to do. But looks sweet. Just make sure you use some good glue when applying it -

good find. i may try this too. the $50 8 0 mil roll would be plenty to cover my floor with 1 layer. and 8 0 mil is thick -
Couple easy electrical questions
baaudio replied to a topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
To get voltage up I'd recommend big 3 and an mla module. That can usually get you a solid 15+ volts. And for you battery most companies will tell you what "wattage" they're batteries are recommended for. If you wanna be at 14v constant I'd say run 14 volt batteries. -

Mine just did that this morning. But its 15 degrees here lol. I made the mistake of leaving it in my car overnight. So I just tucked it in my pocket and it was fine. -

thats a steal if its an accurate scope. im gonna be in the market for a scope soon. try it on a smaller amp first and see how it acts i guess -
So my L7s pretty well broken in now. Been playing it conservatively for a couple days. My gain is up about 1/3 of full rotation. Headunit sub level is 0. When I play some songs I get a little coil smell, so tonight as soon as I smelled it for a bit I pulled over and felt the sub and it wasn't even warm. I always thought the coil smell would only come from a pretty warm/hot sub. So I'm kinda puzzled if its really the coil or if I'm just smelling things. I'm more careful about my amp settings and such now since I burned up the 12" L7 I ran. But I don't have an o-scope so I just gotta kinda guess.

Like when they tell you in school if a bear or something is coming at you, you should make a lot of noise to scare them. She's just applying that hahaha
