  1. This. You can do the basic (intake, exhaust, headers) but you won't see much of a gain until you really start getting into it, and even then it won't be very fast. Most four cylinders weren't designed to be quick, they're a commuter car with good mpg. You can make one fast, but you better be saving a lot of money to do so.
  2. The "k" is just the light output. The higher you go the less light output it will really have and will have more of a blue tint. IMO, anything after 6k is going to be less lighting and get a bluer tint until you really get up there. Here's a chart for reference, more are available if you google "HID color chart".
  3. I like cloudskipper. Lot of options plus a lockscreen player as well.
  4. You can get comfortable gear and not spend $800+, and you can also ride perfect until something/someone else effects you and you lose control and slide. Especially for a beginner, I wouldn't skimp out on protective gear. You can get pullover pants to wear that will actually protect you unlike jeans, then just take them off when you're done riding and put them in a backpack. If you want to ride with no gear go ahead, but I'd rather play it safe and sweat a little bit knowing if I fall I'll be a lot better off then someone who wants to look good.
  5. If he sticks with it then I'd recommend getting a good shoe for running, but if he's not sure then a cheaper pair will be alright for getting into it. Start slow to avoid injuries and if you get shin splints don't try and run through that, take it easy until it's healed. Running through that pain could make it worse and turn into a hairline fracture. Just know your limits and work your way up.
  6. Nice choice, just ride smart. I'm getting ready to get one for crusing but looking at a 250 to start. Definitely read and take in the good advice that people give, and get all the safety equipment you can. Most of all have fun with it and congrats.
  7. Go to a shoe store that specializes in helping you choose a good shoe for you if you can. Unless you try them on you really can't judge how they're going to feel.
  8. I'd say save your money that you'd spend on audio and get your own car to do whatever you want with it.
  9. My g6 had a fuse that I pulled. Check your fuses and see, but if not I'm sure there is a way to bypass it if you wanted. Don't all g6's have auto headlights? That's not the same as DRL so if you pulled that fuse your headlights will still come on when it senses it's dark.
  10. This thread is going nowhere, especially without facts. Yes, Russia and China may be allies with Iran, but China makes a lot of money off of us and going to war with us would not be a good move for them. This. If you hate this country then you're more than welcome to go live somewhere else.
  11. People really need to read, he said he already tried that..And I agree with checking to make sure it engages when you put it in park. I had to fix that problem in my brothers old car.
  12. I'm going to call bs, especially since you can't even spell camaro properly. And there is already a thread like this around.
  13. Same here but a #1 all around. Do it myself every couple weeks, nothing to it.
  14. Go buy a cheap camaro or something and have fun in an empty lot, not a neighborhood, especially when first learning. I actually prefer rwd in the winter because it makes your commute a little more fun if you wanted., plus if you lose control your rear wheels could catch and save you. This is my first winter in 4 years that I haven't had a rwd car and I already miss it. Just be safe "sliding" around.
  15. I don't know about you guys, but after I turned 21 I only really drank for maybe a month, then it was old. Now I usually don't have more than two drinks a week.
  16. lol i dont think there that fast, thats on the digital speedometer. maybe 60-65 tops shit i got the digital speedometer to 97 today i know damn well there not that fast Ohh wasn't 100% sure what you were saying. Yeah those I think will max around 60mph. I'd just rid of the digital gauge ha.
  17. You need to use a spring compressor, so just go to Autozone and rent one. Do it right and don't worry about other ways you can compress it, because if your method would fail and the spring came undone, the spring could hit you with a LOT of force and do serious damage, and potentially kill you if it hit you right. Different cars have different bolts that you need to remove so find a car forum for the car you want to do this on. Sockets will get most of it done but there may be some other tools needed. But it's a fairly easy thing to do, may take a few hours but nothing too bad.
  18. Not without modifications it won't. Stock with average driver is usually mid-high 13's.
  19. ..why? Chrome only looks good when tastefully done. But usually it looks like the person went to autozone and threw stick-on chrome all over their vehicle, and that makes the car look cheap. Maybe chrome on the pillars may look good but anymore than that will likely look overdone.
  20. Just remember stiffer springs mean a rougher ride, and if you lower it you'll need to go get an alignment done as well afterwards as your camber is going to be off and it will cause uneven tire wear. And you could get away with just lowering springs but it will cause struts to wear a little more prematurely and wear out about 10k miles faster than it would with stock springs. If you have newer struts you would be ok for now until you sell it or anything but if they're old I would do em both while you're at it. If you do just springs and sell the car, just let the potential buyers aware that they sit on stock struts.
  21. There is stuff you can pick up at autozone to help, like Meguiars (I believe) ScratchX, Swirl Remover and/or 3M Scratch Remover and many more. I would also not recommend wet sanding the car if you have no experience in doing so, but if you feel adventurous feel free but try it on some extra parts you may have lying around before hand. Can you feel the rock chips with your nail or are they lighter?
