  1. 220 isnt that hot. its bout operating temp. but from what ive heard them things have always had overheating problems. but if its nice and u can git it cheap enuff then hells ya git it. no problem is impossible to fix sum how, but as for gitting it home just keep an eye on the temp gauge and take a few extra gallons of water with u just incase
  2. i hate to say it steve but orionstang is probly right. now that you made this for us the dam chinese will copy it and make a cheap shitty version theyl sell for 29.99 or some shit like that. and it probly wont last a week b4 it beaks
  3. ya u didnt use enough hardner in the mix. just mix up a new batch of resin and make sure u put enough hardner in it this time and go over top of what u already did. should be ok after that
  4. u can git u another set of stock springs and cut them down to where u wanna drop it to thats bout the cheapest way to go
  5. theres a thread on here telling u how to boost the voltage using diodes inline in your alt wires. and u can git diodes at radio shack and they dont cost alot
  6. u must have seen the vid with DR. sweet tits in it ya twisted is funny as shit
  7. well if you redo it and it melts again just try ditching the fuse and try it that way
  8. lol just wait till hes almost 16 and its time to start his 1st sound system
  9. not sayin that this is what it is but it looks like a bad connection maybe in the wire ring. id personally just ditch the fuse between the alt and battery if your just running a stock alt
  10. if u use the ca glue on the surround its gonna be a bitch to spry the activator on it and git it in place in time b4 the glue sets. its just way easier to use the rubber cement. it takes longer to set up but hey whats 1 more day when you dont got no bump to begin with lol but since this is your 1st recone id recomend using the rubber cement cus of the longer set time
  11. ca glue in the red taped 1 is for the spiders and the rubber cement in the yellow taped bottle is for the dust cap AND surround you dont use the ca glue for the surround. and far as i know the kits dont come with shims you gotta come up with that on your own but used cereal boxes cut into sized strips before to shim the coils and it works fine but it all depends on the type of motor your using.
  12. hope thats not how u boys do it down in australia hahaha
  13. if you ever drove a stick you gotta admit theyr way more fun. and the value of all cars dont go down because theyr a stick. i had an 91 iroc z that had a 5 speed. gm never built irocs with a manual trans. i got 1000 more out of it when i sold it just because it was a stick being that a camaro with a stick in those years was a rare find now days. so you cant exactly say being a stick kills the value
  14. my cousin recently had a recone that we done for him fail soon after installin g it. i called DC to let them no about it and they told me to send it to them so we did. it was pretty much fuct from what rusty and the guys told me. now being the nice guy he is he did something he really didnt have to do. he said he was gonna hook us up with a 1 time freebie. now if u ask me thats customer service like a mutha fucker that can not be beat. now im not sayin call rusty and hit him up for free shit if your DC's fail on you but he did one hell of a nice thing for us and we appreciate that DC FTMFW
