my friend has an apple tv and it is the freakin bombbbb. the only thing you want to take into consideration is your internet connection speed. If it sucks, it can be frustrating at times. But yeah, if i didn't just have a pos 19" tv thats not even mine, i would totally get an apple tv, they're awesome!!

Have steve ship it to somebody you know in the states, and then have that person ship it to you via USPS. Wont be that expensive at all. It's just fed ex that is so expensive internationally.
