  1. What about selling your subs and buying new ones? It would probably cost you less than two recones. Otherwise, if you are giving it clean power I think the copper coil should be fine, but I don't have any experience with AQs so don't quote me on that.
  2. Try switching the front and rear inputs on the amp, then adjust the fader again. If you adjust it forward and no sound, then you know it's the amp. If so, it may have a bad switch for it's 4 channel - 2 channel mode.
  3. Are you sure your amp is in 4 channel mode? Maybe the switch on it is set to 2 channel mode, if so it will only use the front inputs.
  4. Landed a job. Looking to get a better one soon so I can get my build back on track.

  5. I'd rather wait to get the better amp, you'll lose money because you have to resell it. But if you really want one, this is a great place to go - http://www.caraudiodeals.com/amplifiers-mono-1-channel-amps-c-28_29.html?filter_id=15&sort=3d
  6. There was more rice on that cavy than there is at a Chinese buffet counter. And I guess it seems very Christian like to be disturbing the peace wherever you go, lol. I have a migraine now... I need to listen to some evil pimp or behemoth.
  7. Reading not > me. I know why he wants to do that with the hard drive, but if he just swaps the psu and finds out that's all that went wrong, then they won't need to pull all of the data off of the drive, he'd just need to buy a $20 psu.
  8. Turn your computer off, take your PSU out and hook it up to his computer. If his computer turns on, you know it was the PSU. Also, do vice versa, hook his PSU up to your computer and see if it turns it on. Depending on whether the main plug is 20 or 24 pin you may or may not be able to do it. We don't need to make this complicated by switching out drives and crap guys...
  9. I honestly can't put into words how much fail I have just witnessed.
  10. Some times you can find them at RV/camper places or trucking places. Try looking up some RV places online.
  11. Woah... Deja Vu... Welcome man. Best advice I can give to a new person on the forum is to just browse for a while and take notes.
  12. Just remember, you can put any bulb on any ballast, no matter the wattage, so you can feel free to get whatever colors you want, and you can reuse the bulbs you already have if you don't like the color of the new ones.
  13. AQ http://www.audioque.com/ They charge shipping on subs, but not amps, so you need to add it to your cart and calculate your shipping for the subs.
  14. Either size, they are all right around the 300 mark though.
  15. Fi Q, DC lvl 4, AQ HDC3, RE SXX Those are a few that come to mind in that budget.
  16. "it's a turbo rotary with headers and pistons"
  17. Depending on the hatch type, I would go with either sub up port up, sub back port back, or sub up port back. My Saab 9000 sounds best sub up, port up. My friend's Mazda MX-3 sounded best subs back, port back. My friend's Chevy Cavalier wagon sounded best sub up, port back.
  18. I like his "Infinite" amp and his power "compacter"
  19. maybe $500-$600 (possibly more) for all components... Also if I was going to get a second 12" I am guessing I need second sub amp no? How many sets of components do you want? And as far as needing a second amp, it's all dependent on your coil configurations and the amp you want to run. if you got D1 subs, you can just get one good sized 1 ohm stable amp, if you have D2 subs you need to get either 2 1 ohm stable amps, or one amp that will do the power you need at 2 ohms.
  20. First of all, in that car there is plenty of room for 2 12s. Second: What kind of budget do you have for your components?
  21. I try to think of things that I don't know much about and try to learn more about them. Mostly sound system related stuff.
  22. Pretty much just a barn style hinge, kinda ghetto, but it worked, lol. Something like this http://cdn3.ioffer.com/img/item/172/351/245/zDIA.jpg
  23. It happens.
  24. I was looking into running the 6.5s of those in my car, and from what I've heard, they sound pretty damn good for the price. I opted my O2s instead because they were cheap and I got the 6.5s, 4s, and tweets all at once without having to look everywhere for drivers that will complement each other. I'll tell you that running 4 way active will be a pain for me.
