  1. If they are, in fact, going to Hawaii I'll need to send you a SH quote before they go out.
  2. Yes it is in a packing box -- be sure to read the full description before buying.
  3. The older SA-8 is under Discontinued. They can use the same enclosures.
  4. Updated list / pictures from the 8/6/12 Yard Sale... some items added, some are sold out, and some items just sorted better and counted. ----- Finally took some time to clean up all the back rooms / corners of the shop even more so than the last few times to pick up some stuff that has been there for years. Also a good bit of new b-stock / QC reject items available. DO NOT ASK ABOUT SPECIFICS -- WE WILL NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT IS SPECIFICALLY WRONG WITH EACH ITEM. They are so cheap to avoid sorting through it all. ---------- First up are the QC reject items just like the last yard sale. Different from last time there will be SOME regular b-stock and/or used items in this stack... but assume that it will have QC reject issues and that you may get a bonus. "These items would mostly have minor *functional* issues such as a tick at high excursion, a rattle, messed up terminal, or something like that. Most of them not really major (you can check prior yard-sale threads; most customers are pleased with the outcome) but I do not plan to sort through them. These are not our typical b-stock which are cosmetic only -- most of these do have some sort of functional issue as noted. There may be other minor issues as well but for these prices I am not going to list them specifically. We will NOT be re-coning any of these before shipping. We can sell the sub and you can order a re-cone kit separately, though. This is what I have along with SHIPPED cost in continental USA (this first post will be updated as items sell as quickly as possible) : Payments to be made via Paypal ONLY to [email protected]... for these items I will not run a credit card; I will only take direct Paypal. First come / first serve basis. If I sell more than I have the newest payment will be refunded. I will only ship these to the continental USA for this purpose. All pricing is FIXED -- there are no further discounts. These items are ALL sold AS-IS with no guarantee. Most of them do in fact play but may have issues such as ticking and whatnot as mentioned above; but there is NO guarantee. All models have re-cone kits available." SA-15 D4 - SOLD OUT SA-15 D2 - SOLD OUT SA-10 D4 - $85 x 9 SD-2 10 D4 - $75 x 2 SD-2 10 D2 - $75 x 4 E-15 D4 - SOLD OUT E-12 D4 - SOLD OUT E-10 D4 - $50 x 1 SA-8 v.2 D2 - $85 x ~20 SA-8 v.2 D4 - SOLD OUT SA-8 v1.5 D2 - $65 x 8 SA-8 v1.5 D4 - $65 x 10 ----------------------------- Next up I have a stack of blown stuff and/or stuff that I just don't know what the deal is... you can assume that 100% of this is used / scuffed / blown / whatever. It was collected from all corners of the shop while we cleaned up to prepare for our recent containers. For these items assume you are only getting a motor... most of them have good baskets (NOT ALL), some of them may just be used / prototypes, may work okay, or partially, but I have no idea and will not investigate. Just needs to go! Same payment / contact information as above : SA-15 : $75 x 8 SA-12 : $65 x 14 SA-10 : $60 x 18 SA-8 v1 or v1.5 : $40 x ~30+ E-15 : $45 x 5 E-12 : $40 x 6 E-8 v.2 : $30 x 19 For the 8/14/12 Update I actually counted and sorted these by size. Details remain the same.
  5. I only hurt one -- it was physical damage to the coil (hence the change to the pole). They are quite rugged.
  6. I am making one small change for production -- the pole extension is growing by about 1/2" -- I was able to shoot the coil completely out of the gap and scrape the winding on the top plate with about 3x rated power With the extension pushed out that will become impossible at any power level -- as it would take over 30mm one-way to completely jump over the pole with the taller extension. Had to push back this production run a bit to fit a few more things in; but I'd expect to see it in November to December. Specs on the unit played for extended period in my car : Re : 6.03 ohms (series) Fs : 45.2 Hz Qes : 0.63 Qms : 7.31 Qts : 0.58 Le : 6.26 mH Sd : 30.68 in^2 Vas : 7.74 L BL : 15.55 NA Mms : 89 g Cms : 138 uM/N Sens 1w/1m : 82.29 dB Box modelling programs will call for a bit over 0.5 each sealed -- I ran these in 0.25 each and they sound great. Being a very linear driver over stroke your Qtc at higher levels of travel would be about the same as a driver with a lower at-rest Qtc and non-linear CMS and BL curves. In any event -- the specs are within a VERY small margin of my original test-bench break-in process on them... so the parts will show very little fatigue and change over time after initial break-in. Not a surprise as they were all designed around the much more powerful SA-8 v.2 They would have no issue with a ported box but I feel like their main advantage is performing better sealed than an SA-8 v.2 Also will be doing Klippel testing on this at some point as I've done with the SA-8 v.2 and SA-12 models. PS: I notice I haven't mentioned one of the details yet... the former is an alloy material similar to brass with a spiral cut to help reduce eddy currents compared to a standard aluminum former.
  7. 150 or less -- they can be ported, yes.
  8. Very few run a single -- I did run one single in a PR box and it was in the 130-131 dB range. Three of them with a good bit more juice ported is in the ~145 dB range down at 29 Hz in the same car.
  9. I've been messing with prototypes for a while -- so far nothing is really superior to what we have already without adding too much cost... I want to keep the price point pretty well where it's at. I would not expect any major revisions on the SA-10/12/15 this year.
  10. The SA-10/12/15 SPL coil is simply an 8-layer flat aluminum USA made coil -- temperature handling is much higher. Raises the FS of the woofer; hence being labelled the SPL coil. They are fine for daily but have less bottom end and are ONLY sold on re-cones. The SA-8 has an SPL coil in D2 / D4 that is also okay for daily -- it's simply a 4-layer CCAW coil to drop mass... the D1 SPL coil is for burps only (very tight) and is an 8-layer flat as well.
  11. The E-8/10/12/15 line uses a 2" coil and the SA-10/12/15 use a 2.5" so they cannot use the same parts.
  12. Glad you like them. The E line has proven quite reliable so far with very few units being damaged in the field.
  13. If anything is loose it's the shorting ring; it's the only piece that can come loose without the motor shifting completely.
  14. If we put a re-cone in for you it is $10 -- there would be further charges for cleaning a basket as well if the basket is not clean.
  15. [email protected] works well for quick orders like that and really basic inquiries. The above is correct; we've been super busy + internet down.
  16. Brandon will be e-mailing you.
  17. Each time interval = clamped wattage at that time. The wattage was changed over time.
  18. Based on the above... when music program is applied it would take ALOT to tear it up.
  19. Many customers utilize more than the rated power on them; they test our quite strong thermally on our rig as well : Thermal test completed @ 60 Hz : TIME // CLAMPED WATTS
  20. The v.2 subs will handle a pretty massive amount of power when configured properly as they essentially have no mechanical limit within reason (we have busted them mechanically on 5kw burps). The voice coil cooling also puts them on par with many well designed 2.5" coil drivers thermally.
  21. You may get some port noise but the size and tuning is great.
