EQ settings on your ipod could be set to bass boost or something stupid as said. Go to the settings on your ipod/iphone/itouch. On itouch/iphone it should be under settings => ipod.

2 super 12s > 2 15s. The 15s box may need to be built in the trunk which for someone without a ton of experience leads to mistakes fairly quickly. Also they may not be getting as much space as they really need, choking them is a bad idea. Also, with two 12s most people can seal them off firing forward which will make it that much louder. Very few trunk cars can do that with 2 15s. (fucking sucks I know, thats what I wanted to do ) Also, alot of those setups have to fire the subs back towards the trunk lid or up into the trunk lid. Idk about your car, but that would probably tear my civics trunk off.

I'm not sure if you will get sub cancellation with that setup or not, but if that isnt a problem you should be fine. Mixing different subs and sub sizes are fine as long as the same subs are in their own/different box then the other brand and they are tuned slightly differently. For example if you tune the kicker at 30hz tune the others to 35 or so. That's how it goes for different sized subs so I would assume these rules still apply. You already said you're running them on separate amps which is a must. After all that, I believe you should be fine...but as I said, you MAY have cancellation and if this occurs it will sound like shit and fuck with your output. You reduce the frames strength by opening your front doors, becaus they brace most of the front of the car, roof, and windshield when closed. Many people bust their windshields because they open er up and leter flex.

I think I paid $33 for a gallon of resin at lowes. That should do a LOT. Most have mat too, but just one size. I'd get mat online and resin/hardener at your local craft store.

I'd do three 18s in a large box port back subs up. Depending on power I'd do between 16-18 ft box with 16 sq in port. May need more port, someone a tad more experienced should be able to give you a suggestion on the box, just give your max dimensions to work with. And if you were doing a wall...I think if your going that big, you go balls deep. 6 18" xls in a well designed fourth would rape children from blocks away.

Wall, if done even moderately decent, is guaranteed loud. If you can make a good box for them in the back, you could still get a very good score. Look at people like chode pushing 155s+ iirc on just 2 18s. I think no wall with high numbers is more impressive than a wall with highish numbers. Until you hit the 160 mark. But it's always cool to see the people with the balls for a wall.
