  3. so just stumbled across this, is pretty good song with a nice beat. http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/dj-khaled-take-it-to-the-head-song.753514.html
  4. Damn i hope the X line is done around July cos thats when im re doing my system
  5. mines evening itself out, at first it was noticeable but its pretty much gone unless your full staring at it like a hawk looking for it you cant notice should be gone in a week or two though, just give it time and it should work itself out
  6. Gains like a little bit under a quarter way up, but they do move alot more than the video shows just phone has a crap fps so it doesnt pick the movement up.
  7. sorry for the quick vid but neighbors came out complaining, will try to get a longer one really showing what they can do as gain is barely turned up.
  8. So subs after playing for about 30 mins today seem to have evened out with the excursion and noise isn't as loud as before will keep playing on them to see if it disappears
  9. Checked with a dmm im wired to 1ohm, there is no popping noise its actually a hard noise to explain but only occurs when the volume is up abit if i have it really low it isnt there but as i get to about 18 out of 35 on my deck it starts to come,
  10. Wait so on the ken wood excelon decks you have to have the sub level at +15 for dd-1 to pick up a signal ?? Or did I read that wrong
  11. I bought a dmm will see what I'm wired to, bit I followed the Rockford wiring wizard to get 2 dual 4ohm subs down to 1ohm so I'm hoping I didn't stuff up along the way. Could it be the suspension is just a little more lose on the one subwoofer than the other that's why it has more excursion ?? Cos it seems the sound is slowly going away the more I play them
  12. ok so its pretty much like the vid with the jl's but not that bad, its barely noticable with mine but as soon as i looked in the boot and watched them for a lil while i notice, but i dont think it would be that as RAM Designs designed my box and he knows his shit. and it does sound like that video with the clipping of sub but my gain is barely turned up atm and it still does it, everything is on flat through my headunit. but that noise its making is what mine does :(
  13. Kevin a video isnt going to help the only camera i have you cannot hear anything bass just drowns everything out i will upload it but it sounds like complete crap, you cant see it in the vid but the sub on the left is the one with the noise and it has a little bit more excursion than the other could i have wired it wrong or something to make that one recieve more power ?
  14. alright will try and get this up sometime today i dont have a DMM guess im going down to my local car audio shop
  15. i have a kenwood kdc-x895 so i might just give it a go at +15 aswell & have not tried it through another amp so will be doing this tomorrow on gf's system. if all these ideas fail any others as i dont want to be setting my gains by ear ??
  16. So i connected my 2 ivx 10's up to my 800.1 from you guys and one of the subs is moving more than the other and is making a noise (never heard this noise before) they are wired at 1ohm. i can throw a video up tomorrow to see if i can record the noise its making. any ideas on what noise could be it sounds like its a mechanical noise but i dunno im a noob at this lol
  17. yes subsonic is down all the way and my amp doesnt have hpf just lpf which i have all the way up ?? and did the red probe thing in the speaker + output and the ground on the screw on amps negative and still nothing
  18. Hi Guys i got my DD-1 about 2-3 weeks ago ive tried using it to see my max volume for headunit, i did everything the book tells me to do, the dd-1 says its on but i start turning the volume up and it wont pick up the signal from my headunit, im using the headunit's rca output into the dd-1's input and nothing. than i tried doing it through the speaker output and the black clip on the amps ground and nothing aswell. so than i thought try out setting the gain for my amp and stop about 5 away from max volume the headunit does (just to see if it will pick up a signal) did everything the same as the book tells me and nothing again will not pick up a signal through my amp either. Any ideas why this is happening ?
