  1. The one I worked on recently did as well... Not sure about a Bravada.
  2. Looks really good Steve! Tuned in for results! Oh and one more thing: Where can someone get chop mat like that? I need a big roll like that. I noticed that you always seem to use it, it almost looks like a mix between mat and cloth? Looks easier to use than regular old mat. Anyway, thanks, and good luck!
  3. Cool, thanks guys. Bigsix, your probably right. I guess that's what I'm doing now. Anyway I better get back to work, if I ever want to get these things done. I got a lot of sanding ahead of me! Thanks again fellas
  4. Thanks N8, I believe your right Sorry guys, I didn't mean to mislead anyone. They are not finished, actually I just started back on them yesterday. It will take me at least 2 weeks to finish them. I guess I was just getting a heads up on where to send them. Yeah, I am about 2 hours from Columbus, and about 3 hours from Cincinnati. If I could find someone close, then sure I would have them do it! I'm just prepared to ship them wherever is necessary to make sure they are right.
  5. Thanks, but I have been looking locally for over a year. There is no one local for me. At least no one who does the quality of work I am looking for. So, anyone else have any suggestions? Doesn't matter where they are, I will ship them.
  6. So I'm starting back up where I left off on my door panels this week, and I have come to the conclusion that I don't wanna waste my time or money attempting to wrap them myself. So where is the best place to send them? These have got to come out perfect, and now is not the time for me to learn. So I think I'll just leave it to the pros. Anyway, I just need to know who to get a hold of. Thanks for your time!
  7. Looks awesome Steve! Good luck, hope it turns out well! The only part I'm not understanding is what makes it considered a "Clamshell"? Is it the way the subs are facing one another? And if so, then then what makes it "isobaric"? The space in between each sub? I remember seeing these style setups in the 90's, but I had no idea what they were, or how they worked. Super cool idea, whether or not you keep it! Now I bet we will be seeing several others try it since you did....
  8. Thanks man, I appreciate the advice! I am definitely gonna re-do the bus bars, I just went ahead and made these two for the time being, and to get some practice. I will at least use 1/2" x 1-1/2" alum. And I was wondering which bolts were best to use, I'll pick up some brass stuff soon too! Thanks again for the help! Thanks man, will do!
  9. Here are some pics of the finished product. I'm happy with the way they turned out. Thanks for all your help guys!
  10. Trades on the Clarion? I have a single din Clarion, very similar to this. VZ300 I think... Maybe mine plus boot for yours?
  11. HO Alt Batteries You can use as many batteries as you like, you will just have to charge them once in a while. The more batteries, the more often you will have to charge. But I don't think having more batteries will hurt your electrical system, or your alt. It just simply will not be able to keep them fully charged. Also, with just the two Kicker amps you listed, just do the big 3, and do it way better than you have to. That should be enough, those amps don't draw a lot of power. I really liked my ZX1000.1, they are really efficient, and sound clean as hell! But yeah you should be fine with just the big 3 done properly.
  12. Any way you can do an inverted cap? One that would cover a 15" cone?
  13. Lol! Nice windshield flex! Doesn't look like it will last long... The windshield that is
  14. Cool, thanks man! I appreciate the help. And hell yeah I'll come help you with your box, long as you come help me with mine here in a few weeks! Cool thanks man!
  15. Damn, that turned out good! Hopefully I can get them to shine like that! And lol you guys are funny!
  16. Thanks! Lol! Yeah I really wasn't sure about it at all, I was just going off what others with more experience had told me.
  17. Corrosion resistance? Plus I just wanna make em pretty!
  18. Cool deal guys, thanks for the help! I'll definitely upload some pics when I get it done. Thanks again!
  19. Okay, so just scrub them down with the steel wool then? And then hand polish with the wenol? Thanks for help.
  20. Anybody? I'd really appreciate some input on this! Thank ya!
  21. I recently made a set of bus burs for my new front battery bank, and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on polishing them? I got steel wool, 1000 grit wet/dry paper, rubbing compound, and some Wenol all purpose metal polish. I was told I just need to hit them with the steel wool, and then polish them up. So, is that it? Is there anything else, should I use a buffer, of just do it by hand? Do I let the polish dry, then buff it out? And what about wet sanding them, is that good a or bad idea? All help is appreciated. Here are some pics of said bus bars... Thanks again for your help!
  22. Hmm, I think each amp would be seing .25 that way. But hey, with the maxx link, it just may still do it.... Let us know how it turns out. But remember, if you do try it, your risking something getting fried. So is the risk worth the reward? Btw if it were me, I'd probably try it too. I'd just be extra super careful. And IMHO I believe they will protect. But hey, I wish you luck!
