So, are the subs all wired together, on a single load, with the amps all "strapped" with the maxlink? Or are they gain matched? Sorry, I'm just trying to learn something today!

That's cool, just thought I'd offer. The black Kinetik tray is $40 extra when you buy new. And mine rest at 13.1 and is still like new. Actually I better just keep it! No they are plenty good for starting batts, as long as it's the HC1200 or better This one has been my starting battery for a while now, no problems

Yeah I just caught that. The sub is a single 3ohm voice coil sub, that's why you were told to look for an amp that does 1000@ 4ohms. IMO, if you just want to run just one, find ya a nice 2ch amp and bridge it. I will still sell you my amp, but honestly, it's probably not the best one for ya. Hope this was helpful?

Or you could just buy this one... ZX1000.1 It is rated 600 @4 ohm, 1000 @2 ohm. ****If you have only one JL sub, and it's a d3 ohm, how are you planning on running @4ohm? If that's rt, and you have one d3ohm sub, then you can run at 1.5 ohms or 6 ohms. My amp would be PERFECT @1.5 ohms, and will do more than rated 100% GUARANTEED!!! If it's a d1.5ohm sub, then you can wire to .75ohm or 3 ohm. Any amp that is 1ohm stable would then be what you wanted. Actually that should open the door for you to a lot of options...
